In/Above Ground Pool Pump Self Primming High Flow,Black

I ordered this Pool Pump because my old one was going to cost too much to put back in service. I received the pump and went to work installing it. I got it all hooked up and started putting water into the pre filter or pot, and started losing water coming out at the water inlet. I contacted vitapool and they confirmed it was leaking through a crack at the inlet. They recommended I send it back to Amazon as I'd get a replacement faster that way. I could have let them send me a new one and keep the bad one which would give me an extra motor which is usually the first thing to go out. I opted to send it back to Amazon. I did the return stuff yesterday and UPS picked up the bad one this afternoon. About an hour later the new one arrived from Amazon. I was able to install it in just a few minutes as I already had all the new piping done, just screwing the pump to the pipes and hook up the electricity. It started right up and primed itself in less than 30 seconds. The reason for the 5 stars is their Customer Service. They worked with me to get the best results. The only thing I didn't like was they only work through email, no phone work. But, I am very happy with the new pump which is real quite. This is also a good value as it was going to be over $400.00 to get my old pump working which was still going to be an old one with some new parts. With this I have an all new Pool Pump for just over $250 after taxes. That's about a $200 savings less about $50 for materials to hook the new one up. The only reason it's that much is due to a valve I had to replace to choose which pipe I'm pulling from, the cleaner line or the Skimmer line. I'd recommend this pump to anyone. I have an in ground pool that's about 18,000 gallons of water and it claims to work on above ground pools too which I'm sure it would.

This pump is great fit for the price. Has great suction, super quiet, and I mean compared to other pumps this one has to be the most quiet. It was compatible with my in ground pool. Power and speed are great. Easy to connect. Have been using for a few weeks and I love it.

Hi, I'm a license Plumber PipeFitter in Washington . This is a 30 year old pool. I put a new pump in last year and it failed In September. I emailed you about and never heard back. This is opening month for the pool. I took the pump apart to inspect it and couldn't find anything wrong but when I picked up the pump the base was broken off. Bolts not tight to motor. Pictures are what I found. Its not repairable. Still not sur why it wasn't pumping. I get $250 an hour. I don't have time to fix this pump. D.L.Schandel Inc. Gen. So far So good, easy to install and use. Got a bit of "analysis paralysis" in trying to select the right pump for our 11,000 gallon above ground pool. Throughout my research I kept coming across this model, and I went for it. It has two speeds (high and low), and works well. Its not loud and annoying like our last pump which was pretty old, and vibration is minimal. The pressure and suction power is pretty strong on the high speed mode, no leaks so far, and quality is impressive. I did not give 5 stars as of yet because I have only had it for about two weeks and I am awaitingfor a reply to a questioni sent them via email. The warranty seems good as the company promises one replacement after registering the product. I emailed with a question around replacement parts if needed and have yet to hear back from them.

I’m glad they redesigned the wrench to remove the cover to the basket. Much better. The pump is running nice. Quieter than the last pump. The timer buttons on the top are a bit of a pain in the but. Besides blocking a better fit for the pump protector cover, I have to reach under it to turn the pump on. I’ll try and see if it can be bypassed. It sounds like a nice idea but……..

When my old pump started acting up I ordered a cheap replacement and it had the wrong fittings and was not going to work. Then I ordered this pump and it was a perfect fit with easy instructions. I should have just ordered this one first.

I have a path to buy more expensive brands at a discount but as we are nearing the end of swimming season, decided to try this pump. It arrived in a couple of days and I installed it myself. It is 110 volt with a pre attached cord and plug which makes the electrical easy as long as you have a grounded receptacle close by. Since my previous pump was 220 volts I am running this unit on a short, higher than standard amp extension cord. PVC pipe is easy to work with and the small difference in the position of inlet and outlet pipes can be addressed in minutes with a battery powered reciprocating saw, a few fittings, pipe and glue. My pool holds 22,000 gallons. The previous pump was 1.5 HP, 220 volt and pumped considerably more volume and pressure. Due to the volume of water pushed through the jets I have had concerns the pump I was replacing might be a bit more than my pool required, but it did what was needed to keep the water nice and clear as long as balance was in place. The new pump was almost silent, compared to the old one. The “high, off, low) switch is on the back of the pump and it is nice to have and reach. I have an automatic chlorinator that holds 3” tablets. Best investment ever made regarding pool chemical management. This pump does not provide a sufficient water volume on low speed to enable the chlorinator siphon to work properly. Low speed might be useful in winter to keep water flowing but for every day use, it is not an option for me. On high, the volume of water and noise is noticeably less than my prior pump. After several weeks of use, my water is crystal clear and the balance is on target. Thus far, my only complaint is I wish the low speed was high enough to be useful to me. It may be fine for others. It comes with a lever that fits into holes on the filter lid which facilitates removal. This pump cost less than half of the one I was planning to purchase. Thus far, I am very happy with its performance.
