I use this outdoors on an uncovered balcony to hold my bunnies hay food and even though I've only had it for a little bit it rains a lot where I live and it still keeps my hay dry.

This did not come with paper assembly instructions. The inside of each piece tells you where it goes. If you can read it. I guess the lock hole is a nice touch, but I'm not sure there's any point to it since you could probably just pull the other side of the top up from the hinge. I'm only using it to store firewood I purchase in order to keep it dry. We'll see. I'll come back and edit if it does NOT keep it dry. Lots of people say they'll come back to edit an update and then don't. But I actually will come edit if my firewood ends up wet. Bet

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I got this bc I needed a place to store some covers for a new patio set we bought. I picked this particular one bc it claimed to hold 300lb and could be used as an extra seat. It can not. My 6 year who is 50lb went to sit on it and the the entire front part collapsed before she even had all her weight on it. Not even close to worth the money. Very disappointed.
