🛠️ Sharpen your skills, sharpen your tools!
The Robert Larson 340-1500 6-Inch Combination Arkansas Stone features a dual-sided design with a soft Arkansas stone for initial sharpening and a hard Arkansas stone for finishing. It comes elegantly packaged in a fitted wooden box, measuring 6" x 2" x 1/2", and is best used with honing oil for optimal results.

Decent stones in loose fitting box
The stones work well. They are flat and smooth. I've been able to sharpen all my knives on the stones. The soft Arkansas side seems about 600 grit. The hard Arkansas side is about 1000 grit, which is a nice combination. The box is two cartons slapped together that don't join or fit tightly around the stone, so I have to use a rubber band to hold the setup together. The two stones have a bit of a gap between them where they are glued together. It's unsightly but doesn't affect the function.

Does what its supposed to
For the price, you would expect more... this stone as they call it is only about 1/2 thick. Each side 1/4 thick...the case is laughable... the bottom panel is composition board... all in all I was disappointed.. it does do what it is supposed to do...

Arkansas hard stone is the best.
Works well but is a little small for some jobs. Like I said, though, it works well. (Order the honing oil when you buy this. Three in one oil also works but it is best to use the right oil.

Excellent Arkansas combo stone
I am very pleased with my purchase. One review mentioned a gap between the two stones but mine has a perfect fit. Would not hesitate to recommend this item to anyone needing a sharpening system. As for honing oil, I just use cheap 2 cycle motor oil on my Arkansas stones. I've tried oil specifically for honing and I cannot tell any difference except in cost.

340-1500 6 Inch Combination Arkansas Stone
I have always preferred to use Arkansas stones for sharpening knives and other cutting tools. At the age of 50 I don't see any reason to change now. These stones are well adhered together are flat and should last me many years providing I don't drop and break them.

Excellent Stone
This is a high-quality sharpening stone. I have been able to put a good edge on some very stubborn knives with this and a razor edge on the better ones. Combine this with a strop and you are good to go.
