Finally, something worked on difficult stains
I clean and maintain our own pool and I’ve had “rust looking” stains in my pool for a couple years now. I have been unable to identity them with help from our local Leslie’s or with Jacks magic test kit. Nothing I used worked including the vitamin C tablet scrub test. I phoned a local pool cleaning service and the owner suggested I try this product before he made a trip out. I ordered this small bag before committing to the more expensive large bottle. Followed the instructions and by morning stains within 2’ in all directions were gone - hopefully permanently. I’m ordering more today!

good for small stains
This is in a bag, sort of like a tea bag. Place the bag over the stain and put a weight on top to hold it in place. If you do this, it will remove the stain. The product dissolves quickly so I recommend turning off the pool filter, so the water is not moving. I tried using it on a 2nd stain but there is not enough product remaining to do so.

Highly recommend for rust stains in fiberglass pool!
Had a metal chiminea dome fall into our fiberglass pool & it left a dark rust stain on the bottom after sitting there unnoticed for a couple of days. We tried scrubbing it off with the pool brush and added extra chlorine with absolutely no result. THIS STUFF WORKED GREAT! I followed the directions and placed 2 bags over the stain, weighted down, overnight - the stain was completely gone the next morning!

works well with metal stains
If you have metal stains in your pool, this does an excellent job. It is a bit of a trick to place it correctly if you have a deep pool-the packet must rest directly on the stained area.

Overpriced and over-hyped
The inner bag was intact which was a big relief. I read so many reviews that the inner bag was deteriorated when customers received it. I needed it for a stain at the bottom of my pool. The contents of the bag dissolve very rapidly and the bag was almost empty by the time I reached the spot at the bottom of the pool. The bag floats so you have to put something on top of the bag. Something heavy as plastic pool brushes are not heavy enough. I see that I can buy oxalic acid much cheaper here on Amazon. I suggest you do the same. As for performance. The product did work but also left a white stain where it settled on the bottom but didn't get rid of the rust stain in the area surrounding the bag.

I'm guessing I has too many stains in too many places to actually use something like this.
This product does get the stain out wherever you put it, but the area that it covers and has to stay on is small compared to other methods. It takes a lot of these if you have several stains. Then you have to worry about whether or not it stays put while the timeline it is working goes by. I'm guessing I has too many stains in too many places to actually use something like this.

Not what it said
Awful. The fine print said not for use in plaster pools. But it didn’t say this in the Amazon description. Wanted to return and can’t because if chemicals. But it could ship to me with chemicals!!! Old bait and switch !!!
