Great quality and safer than non-offset!
I've been baking round loaf sourdough and other artisan breads for years. I have been looking into offset bread knives for quite some time and finally settled on this one. It has been perfect! Great quality and the length makes it easy to make precision slices from my large diameter round loaves. This may sound funny, but the offset handle allows me to set the cutting board in the middle of my counter while slicing instead of towards the edge of the counter so I can keep the blade horizontal during the entire cut. I have an 86 pound Labrador that likes to "supervise" me in the kitchen. Her nose can quickly end up by the edge of the counter if she likes the smell of what I'm working on so I'm very happy she is out of range now! This may be a consideration if you have small children that get curious when you are working in the kitchen.

An improvement on an already amazing bread knife.
This is my second Lamson offset bread knife. My first one is great, but I bought one of these as a gift for a friend and was amazed at how much better this version is. The serrations are deeper making it easier to cut through the crustiest of sourdough loaves with ease. The offset handle works well to keep your knuckles away from the cutting board. If you are a bread baker, invest in this lovely knife.

Like this knife over my other bread knives.
I was very pleased how well this worked cutting crusty loaves in thin slices ( sometimes I take directions from SWMBO). Not whippy. Easy to use without rubbing my knuckles on the cutting board. Best bread knife I have.

Amazing knife
Wow, this knife cuts effortlessly, regardless if it is bread or thinly slicing tomatoes. Multiple use knife. 1st Lamson I have purchased, it will not be the last.

Excellent quality at an excellent price
My first experience with Lamson knives, but I'm very impressed, especially considering the price. I have a collection of knives (i.e., Shun, Wustof, Henkels, Yoshihiro, etc...), and the quality of this one is right up there among the best.

Came nice and sharp out of the box. I don’t own a knife roll, so I store it in the packaging. I’m really happy with it!
