Great strings - performs as advertised.
I had put some Phosphor Bronze strings on my Travel size guitar and they sounded overly "bright". I looked up "dark guitar strings" on youtube and came across several mentions of these Thomastik Plectrum strings. I have used Thomastik strings for low G and wound C on a Uke and love them so wanted to give these a try. While they are much more expensive than most strings it seems, they perform exactly as advertised. That over "brightness" I was getting from the Phosphor bronze strings is not present with these and they give such a nice warm tone. I love them. Would recommend for anyone to splurge and give them a try on your guitar :)

Damn they sound good
I love these strings, but it took a second😂.So right when I put them on my little martin I was somewhat disappointed being that they sounded decent but not much better than the elixirs I had on it previously. After about 6 months of being on the guitar though, these strings sound amazing! People have asked me what type of strings are on that little thing just from my playing it, they sound so good. They do take some time to settle in though. I wouldn't put these on again right before a gig or recording; however after 4-6 months of sitting g on your guitar, these sound phenomenal.

The best money can buy.
Most likely the best quality guitar strings for an acoustic money can buy. The tone and volume of the medium heavy gauge set are outstanding on a dreadnought guitar. In 30 years of professional playing, I haven’t found a better set of strings.

Outstanding!
I’ve tried them all and these are my all time favorite strings. Deep low end, sparkling highs. Comfortable to play. Not cheap but definitely great value. 5 stars.

Perfect Except for One Thing…
I love these strings. They have a woody quality that has character, and doesn’t have the really bright tinny quality of just normal phosphor bronze strings. The feeling makes it easy to finger play as well. The ONLY thing I don’t like about them is the low E string seems way too boomy and bassy given the gauges of the other strings. It’s a .59, so also so thick my bridge pin can’t even stuff it down without popping out. With the .50 string from the 11 set, it is the most perfect and balanced acoustic guitar string set I’ve ever encountered. I would buy the 12s and the 11s but use the low E string .50 of that set:)

Product meets and exceeds expectations.
I was looking for a particular sound on an old Martin D28 without buying Martin strings. They have great tone (from nut to saddle) and a soft feel. I tried a lot of different brands but none compared to these. You do have to get used to the strings being a little softer than bronze or coated strings. The cost is a little steep strings, but they are nice to play. Another downside is you do loose a little volume, but the excellent tone makes up for it.

Best!
I always go back to these strings even tho they are so expensive. There is a reason for that! They are long lasting as long as you wipe them clean after a show. They get all the stars. I rarely - maybe once, get a string that is compromised. There are no kinks, unevenness or bumps...mighty fine strings!

Check your order carefully - the REAL ones are great strings.
Check these strings carefully.First the review specific to this purchase through this Amazon retailer:This set arrived and when I went to install them I noticed that 3 of the wound strings were missing their silk wrap and one of the ball ends broke off when tuning it to tension. Maybe I got a bad set, or maybe these strings are not authentic TIs or are factory "seconds." (they did not come in the typical plastic tray but a bag instead). Either way, caveat emptor. Check your strings carefully and if they are not correct return them and write a review then consider purchasing from a different seller. Now to the strings:I've never had a problem with TI strings purchased from other retailers on-line. I love TI strings for electric and acoustic guitar. I use this particular set because they are a great match for my 10 year old J45. They are balanced in tone without too much brightness. I'd say these are a bit on the mellow side when you are playing them in the room - they carry more of the note fundamental and more of your guitar's natural tone (as opposed to bright or brittle "string tone"). When you mic them for recording with them they really shine. When recorded they sound much more like a real, un-miced, un-amplified acoustic guitar should. They have a lower tension and they project fundamental tone very well. I'm playing them on a decent Gibson J45 with a sitka top. I've also tried them on a mid-60s Hofner Western model and they sound great. Not sure how they'd sound on all acoustic guitars but they seem to be at home on the slope shouldered "western" model. They might get boomy on a "Jumbo" (guild, etc.)So, if you're looking for strings that let your guitar sound like a guitar rather than a bunch of strings and wood, these are the ones to get. Just make sure you get them from a reputable seller and you check them carefully.
