しっかりとくっついてくれる。ただ白っぽくシミになって残ってしまう

水転写デカールはどうしても初心者には扱いにくいですが これのおかげで、水に糊が溶けてしまうことも気にせず デカールを扱うことができました。 数十年ぶりに既製品へのディティールアップのために デカールを扱いましたが、しっかりと細かいデカールも貼り付けられるので 時間を忘れて手持ちの製品に貼りまくってしまいました。 敬遠していたデカール貼りが楽しくなりました。 おすすめです。

今まで苦手だった水転写デカールが出来るようになりました。

はじめてのプラモデル作成用に購入しました。 送料等を考慮すると、ネット通販ではこちらで最低購入縛りである3本を買ってしまうのが最も安価だったのでそうしました。 しかし、今後プラモデルの購入予定はなく、もう出番が無いかもしれません。 ならば何処かに飾るしかないかということで、部屋のオブジェになるようなデザインなら良かったのになと、どうでも良いことを考えています。 使い心地としては、少量だけ塗る作業が思いの外難しく、大量に塗ってしまうという失敗はあったりもしましたが、この辺りは初心者ならではの不注意なのかなとも思います。 まだ２本が未開封なので、少しでも多めに消費できて良かったのかもしれないとポジティブに考えるようにしています。

デカール貼りにかかせない。

貼り付ける時は少し使いにくいように思いましたが 乾いたら仕上がりが良かったです

めちゃくちゃ使いやすい。しかもよく接着します。

細かなデカールには、ちょうど良い液体のサラサラ感。広い面積のデカールを貼る際は水滴になってしまい均一に広がらないのでデカールを破かない様苦労しました。でも小さなカーモデルやキャラクターモデルには普通十分でしょう。

I've been building models for a while, and Mr. Mark Setter is one of those little supplies that's worth having around, especially when you're working on an older kit that's been sitting for years. Old waterslide decals can be a gamble. Sometimes they don't want to stick well anymore, and when the decals are irreplaceable, the last thing you want is to get the model finished only to have them start lifting. This stuff adds some extra adhesion underneath the decal and also softens it slightly. I apply a small amount where the decal is going, slide the decal into position, and then gently work out the excess liquid and any trapped air with a cotton swab. You don't need much. In fact, using too much can soften a decal more than you want, so I prefer to start light. It also helps with that silvered look you sometimes get underneath clear portions of a waterslide decal. Getting the decal to sit down tightly against the surface makes the finished result look much more like it belongs on the model rather than looking like a sticker sitting on top of the paint. I've found it especially useful with older model kits where I'm already a little nervous about the condition of the decals. It doesn't magically repair a decal that's completely deteriorated, but if the issue is age and weaker adhesion, it gives me a lot more confidence using the original decal sheet. The bottle lasts a long time because you're only using tiny amounts, and the brush built into the cap makes application easy. For anyone who builds older kits or uses a lot of waterslide decals, this is one of those inexpensive things I'd rather have on the bench than find out I needed after a decal starts lifting.

I'm working on a scale model of a vehicle that I used to drive out of sentiment, since I can no longer find this vehicle. I bought the scale model when I just got the car but never got to work on it. This is my very first scale model of any kind. What I feared was that the decals came with the model are also old and might have deteriorated. The scale model has been discontinued a long time ago and I cannot get any new decals. So I got this product, Mr. Mark Setter. Decals are also called water-slide decal or sometimes slide-mark in Japan where this product is made, and that's why it's a "Mark" setter. But anyway it's a glue for decals with some gentle softer in it. The front label says "Slide-mark softener/glue Mr. Mark Setter, let decals stick securely. It softens slide-mark and glue component sticks slide-mark strongly. Some decals may become too soft. Try with a piece of decal you don't need first". It works really well for tiny decals. The model is 1/24 and everything is so tiny and I need to slide a decal over a surface to place it where it should be. So I apply just a small amount of Mr. Mark Setter on the spot where I want a decal, then place the decal, wiggle it and find a perfect spot and absorb excessive water with a Q-Tip. It softens decals and helps decal to stick well to the surface but not to the point where it becomes wrinkly or torn. Some modelers say that this dissolve a lacquer paint layer and some say it doesn't. I didn't have any issue with surfaces with Mr. Color. My brother who deceased this summer was a first generation "Gun-Ota" back in late 70's, claimed my room in my parents' house as his "colony for Gundam model production". We were not very close in his late years but I wish I could ask him for tips of making scale models, at least let him know that I'm now working on my first scale model and enjoying it.
