Works Great and is loud
Hooked this up to my fpp (Falcon Player) for my Christmas lights, changed the dtoverlay found in these reviews, rebooted and had to turn the volume down it was so loud. Finally have something that works great!

Simple- good documentation, good value
I had accumulated some spare parts here and there and felt like making a little HiFi project. I had a Pi/SD card, 7” touchscreen, speaker wire, and banana plugs/fittings on hand as well as a 12V 3A power supply with a DC barrel plug. This Hat brings a 25W amp, and a decent DAC, so that was all the hardware needed other than speakers.It went together as expected and I decided to try the open source moOde as a streamer solution. This, Volumio, and others are included specifically in the online setup documentation. I 3D printed a simple case to house all this stuff (the back cover is still printing) and am presently listening to it as I write this.

Product Lacking Information
I recently purchased the Innomaker DAC and AMP product, and unfortunately, I must say that I am quite disappointed with my purchase. While the product itself seems to be of decent quality, the lack of information in both the manual and product description has made it difficult for me to properly use and enjoy the product.Firstly, the manual that comes with the product is incredibly sparse and lacking in detail. It does not provide any clear instructions on how to set up the DAC and AMP, leaving me to fumble around with the product for quite some time before I was able to figure out how to properly use it.Additionally, the product description on the manufacturer's website also lacks crucial information about the product. It does not provide any information on what types of headphones are compatible with the product, leaving me unsure if my headphones would work with it or not.Overall, I am disappointed with my purchase of the Innomaker DAC and AMP product. While the product itself may be decent, the lack of information in the manual and product description has made it difficult for me to use and fully enjoy the product. I would recommend looking for a different product that provides more comprehensive instructions and product details.

Has worked great for airplaying music. I use it with outdoor speakers and really happy with how easy it was to get working.

Only usable for me in Bullseye on a PI 4
It works fine once you figure out the correct configuration. I could not get it to work with Raspberry PI 5. Tried a PI 4, and that still had problems until I went back to the Bullseye version of the OS. Things are flaky in Bookworm. Once I installed Bullseye and then added dtoverlay=hifiberry-amp to the /boot/config.txt file, it was identified in raspi-config.Frustrating that I emailed inno-maker twice for help, but never received a response. I'd probably give it a higher rating if the company indicated the required configuration up front.

Easy to set up and some of the best product documentation I've seen
I'm using this for a Raspberry Pi media player. I'd already purchased a Dayton bluetooth amp which worked well enough, but needed a USB soundcard to get decent sound from the Pi. Unfortunately that solution also required 12V to the amp and 5V to the pi. I wish I would have seen this earlier. The fact that this is the amp, DAC, and powers the Raspberry Pi makes this ridiculously simple to set up. The downloadable install guide has the information you need to set up Volumio and other media players. I have it hooked up to some bare speakers right now until I can build a cabinet, but I'm not hearing any noise. When I first set it up, I picked the wrong HiFiBerry option, but after reviewing the settings and my selection, I was quickly able to get this working.There's information in the docs on eventual IR support, pinouts showing which pins are in use. It's very thorough.

A viable lower-power alternative to hifiberry AMP2
I can't speak to the longevity of this yet but performance wise it's quite good. I bought this to drive a low power in-wall speaker. I also have a hifiberry AMP2 that I am using to drive a pair of bookshelf speakers. As a test, I hooked one speaker up to the AMP2 and the other to this board and couldn't detect much of a difference. I didn't exhaustively compare the audio quality as these aren't being paired up with audiophile grade critical listening speakers, but for typical consumer grade bookshelf speakers and low to medium volume this board performs quite well. I paired this with a raspberry pi zero W running piCorePlayer and got it working in about 5 minutes.

Some problems
There are two issues with this amp HAT that made me return it. First, the description is vague regarding how many watts it outputs. The description says 25 watts. I assumed it was 25 watts per channel, but after using it, I'm sure it is only 25 watts total, so 12.5 watts per channel. There is no real reason why this could not have been made clear in the description. Secondly, the headers for attaching the speakers, power supply (if elected) and ground are way too small. I would guess that only wire about 18 AWG would fit in the screw headers, certainly not 14 AWG wire which is a common speaker wire size. Using undersized wire, I did listen to the output and it didn't sound bad, so I give it three stars instead of one.

Just works!
This is a great little amp/dac. I picked this up over the HiFiBerry because of delivery in lockdown. It is for a small bathroom with a pair of 'Bassface SPL4.2 200w 4" Inch 10cm Waterproof speakers' and works great, loads of power for the room and quility of the sound is great. I used a 19V laptop charger (65W) to power the amp and pi.

Impressionnant puissance et son
Je fais des essais avec un RPI Zéro pour son utilisation en "fournisseur de musique". Après l'essai d'un DAC USB (qui marche très bien) j'ai décidé de remplacer la mini chaîne de la chambre.Donc, cette carte monté sur un RPI Zéro, une ancienne alimentation de PC portable 19v 6A (récupération), une ancienne boîte RPI Zéro, les 2 enceintes (de bibliothèque) Sony de l'ancien mini chaine et Volumio (sélectionnez HiFiBerry Amp comme I2S DAC) et le NAS pour les fichiers de musique. Le tout en WiFi.Pas de coupures, ni parasites, très bon son (et très puissant !). L'interface Volumio et le démarrage RPI sont un peu lents mais c'est top comme une solution de musique pas cher et de bonne qualité.EDIT: L'alimentation de la carte alimente aussi le RPi. Si on "poweroff" le RPi, l'ensemble reste alimenté (même si le RPi est "endormie" ) et la carte génère un bruit de fond dans les HP. Si le RPi reste en marche, il n'y a pas de parasites.Le fait d'arrêter le RPi fait économiser 0.5W... donc, soit il ne faut pas arrêter le RPi, soit, il faut couper l'alimentation principale. L'ensemble allumé consomme 4W.

Buono il funzionamento, assistenza super OK..
Causa un mio errore ho chiesto aiuto all'assistenza, che mi ha risposto nel giro di poche ore. Problema risolto, l'hardware è tornato a funzionare.Vista la disponibilità ho poi chiesto lumi sull'installazione di Volumio che è un po brigosetta. Immediatamente arrivata la risposta con tutte le istruzioni per flashare una microsd, e con addirittura le immagini già pronte per il flash non solo di Volumio ma anche di altri software di gestione dell'amplificatore.Con le due casse che erano collegate a un vecchio amplificatore, il mio Pi4b con questo modulo è diventato uno strumento audio formidabile, gestito da Volumio installato sul telefono Android. Software molto completo e ben fatto, continuamente aggiornato e potenziato.I brani musicali che ascolto sono su un disco di rete di grande capacità.La qualità audio è più che buona. Il prezzo complessivo dell'impianto super buono.Per chi vuol sentire buona musica senza "svenarsi" credo proprio di poterlo suggerire.
