Helps a lot.
It worked for most things. A few heavier and slippery where can’t get good sloped grip did not work. Still helped my back a lot when it was out. Reduced greatly need to bend over and pick up. Did not try to get upper reach.

Sturdy and heavy duty
I got this grabber when I was going to have surgery a few years ago. I've had another that folds in the middle but it isn't as strong as this one. I'm a senior citizen and if my back is acting up these grabbers are great to save bending over. I use it for yard work, picking up fallen twigs, cuttings from shrubs, etc. In the house, I have used it for getting thing off and onto high shelves so I don't have to climb on a stool. This is sturdy enough to pick up quite heavy objects from the floor. But it can also pick up very small things off the floor. This is a great product with many uses and will last for years.

Love these!
Best purchase ever. I have a bad back and these have been a lifesaver. Good price for 2 and excellent quality. Work extremely well at picking up anything, including very small objects. Don’t hesitate, I would highly recommend these.

Treat yourself
I have a grabber for every room in the house now! These are longer than most that I have and the extra length is a plus. However some others I have pick up a dime with no real effort. These, however are better suited for bulkier items--shoes, napkins, etc. I would not trust them to bring a glass down from a shelf, whereas others do nicely. These are great to have around for anyone who doesn't work out and is aging. My range of motion is decreasing and bending down is actually harder than ever before for me. While I work on balance, I do think having these deinish the possibility of falling.

From Yep to Nope!
I've purchased the 2-pack 12 times over my life. There was a time when these would last until you wore out the wire inside the grabber or tried to pick up something too heavy. That was a long time ago.Recently, I've encountered times when the wire has snapped on the very first squeeze of the trigger mechanism. I went to pick up a 16.9 fl. oz. bottle of water and it snapped. I didn't even get a chance to lift the bottle out of the fridge, it failed from just being squeezed. What the heck is going on with the quality of these things? My last purchase was the last straw because the grabbers I received were not the ones that are shown in the pictures. I truly wish this company would return to making higher-quality grabbers. The majority of people who use these are disabled to varying degrees and it feels wrong to do this to people who truly need these things. 🤷🏽♂️

A Great Help At a Good Price For Seniors and Handicapped
UPDATE 2/7/2020: My rating of this tool (the Extra Long 32”), is still 5 stars. However, I thought it appropriate to post a warning, which I’ll call a “Duhh?”Moment. I’m a pretty common sense type of a guy, and it’s saved me from a lot of stupid moves over the years, as any moron would know better. Accordingly, I label myself the moron. And I did know better but did it anyway. Did what? I broke this dandy little teacher grabber. I’ve come to the incredible conclusion that this tool is not a cane - and if you try to use it as one, it will likely break. While it’s an essential device to those like me, who have a physical condition or handicap that limits their ability to bend and/or reach, this reacher-grabber is very, very handy to have around. But, remember that it is made to be light. So, it’s made out of plastic! And it will break if you use it as a cane and push yourself up with it! Duhh! Now I have to buy another one.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is the third one of these I have purchased. None have worn out or broken but we have a big two story house and it is much easier on me to have one handy. They are great for “grabbing” most things, unless they are large or heavy. They enable me to do things for myself and hold on to as much of a normal life as I can for as long as I can. I’m a 72 year old Type 1 diabetic (with extensive nerve and tissue damage in my legs and feet due to the complications of diabetes) and more and more nerve damage in my hands. This makes it hard to walk and balance, causing falls that have further damaged my knees. The slowly increasing nerve damage in my hands means I frequently drop things. Thus, bending over to pick up what I have dropped results in difficulty retrieving anything, especially small items. It also makes it even more likely that I will lose my balance and fall again. I also have osteoarthritis that makes it painful to bend or stand on my tiptoes when reaching up to get or put items on a shelf. It’s a simple design but very, very helpful at a reasonable price.
