Quality and size of brush is not what it used to be
I bought the Bickmore hat brush in 2016. Needed a second one and re-ordered. This is not the same 5 inch Bickmore brush. The finish on the wood is thinner and there is no marketing saying it is a Bickmore. See photos of original Bickmore from November 2016 to this one September 2109. The new one is smaller only 4 rows of bristles vs 5 rows. The bristles on the new smaller brush seem softer, so I am not sure it will clean as well. The new brush has uneven bristles. Overall the quality seems poor, especially when looking at the older model. Also the brush came in an envelope with another item that was ordered at the same time. The other item was wrapped. The Bickmore brush came as shown but with a sticker on the wood part which was hard to remove and is now very sticky. Overall, very disappointing.

Hat Care Brush That Works
I live in the desert where you have to dust everything everyday or your home will look like you live outside. Wearing a felt hat, they can get dusty quite easily. I had been using those spongy looking ones to clean my hats in the past...as they work well. But they don't last long and start to disintegrate, leaving your hat covered in the particles. I decided I wanted a real brush and purchased the Bickmore because of the reviews. I'm glad I did. There's nothing fancy about this brush...but it does it's job well! It's small enough to fit in your hand, making it easy to use. I'm a satisfied customer and I would recommend this Hat Brush to my friends who wear felt hats.

extremly cheap
this is a second purchase for me the new brush is absolutely terrible,as you brush more bristles end up on you hat tha. the dirt you are trying to clean off ,total junk do not buy the old reviews that were rated 4 and 5 stars are for a completely different brush ,,in the trash it went like the garbage it is.

If you love wearing baseball hats and hate lint, this is for you!
I love wearing baseball caps and generally rotate between a few. Many times, when I pick a hat that has been sitting unworn for a while, a lot of lint will gather and I can't wear it until it is cleaned. I've tried the tape method where you pick off the lint using the sticky side of tape but that just places more adhesive on the hat and more lint will surely gather. The brush is great and works fast. Every time I want to wear a hat, I run the brush over it and after about a minute, it is clean and ready to go. It is sturdy and I like the wood handle. The bristles are strong but do not damage the hat. I use this only on baseball hats and do not know its effectiveness on other types of hats although I am sure it would work just as good.

Nice size, Good bristles
I was a bit surprised at the small size when I got it, but it turned out to be the correct size for what you are doing. Getting into those smaller areas on the crown or inside it works well. The bristles are not too stiff yet not as loose as a shoe brush. I will say that there was a small amount of shedding of the black bristles while doing the first hat. I just did three more and there was no additional shedding. We shall, of course, see how it holds up over time but right now I would recommend it.

Wow! This brush really works.
Wow! This brush really works.Yesterday I got the brush. My son had bought a white, 4X hat as a second but it was such a good deal he couldn't pass it up.. The deal was because it had lint all over and a smudge on the hat.I got him this brush so he could try to restore the hat to near mint condition. Didn't know if it would work.It sure did! Within 15 seconds, the brush had removed the smudge and greatly reduced the lint on the hat. I don't know how it worked, but it appeared to remove some of the talc/white powder from the hat and lifted the stain right off.I am buying a dark one for my cowboy hats and getting some powder cleaners to go with it. This product took a $25 hat and made it stand out. My son loves it.

Bickmore?
This is supposed to be a genuine Bickmore hat brush yet there is no indication that such is so. There is a terribly sticky substance on the wooden portion of the brush. I've been too busy to seek a return but I may do so soon.

Good brush but not for the price for what it is
Great brush to clean light colored hats with but for the price, you can definitely get a cheaper one that does exactly the same.
