BirkenstockPapillio Women's Ankle Strap Sandals

They're so comfortable. The cork sole has a nice spring to it and is lightweight. The suede footpad feels really soft and nice to the touch. The wrap-around ankle strap makes the sandals feel secure and it's really cute. I would feel good about wearing these shoes with most summer outfits and be able to walk around a bit, which is important for actually having a good time! I love these sandals so much that I wear them when working from home. The arch support helps when I'm at my standing desk. Comfort and style are working nicely for these sandals!

Don’t let the narrow width deter you. I usually wear a size 40 or nine in most shoes but can comfortably wear a 39 or eight in these. I’m not a skinny lady and the only adjustment I had to make was to add a couple extra holes as the ankle wrap is very skinny. Moderate arch and very comfortable and super light shoes. Now I can wear Birkenstocks with my dresses and look a little more dressed up.

Even on the tightest hole the ankle strap fits a little loose, and I have pretty average-sized ankles. The sandal does not really strap firmly and securely onto the foot -- when you pick up your foot to walk, you can feel the sole of the sandal pull away from your foot a little. I wore these on a vacation in Europe recently and did a ton of walking up hills on cobblestone streets and so it would've been nice for it to feel more firmly attached to my foot, but otherwise they were very comfortable from day one. I get lots of compliments on how they look.

These are super comfortable for very casual wear and day-to-day, but after traveling for 3 weeks in Italy with just this pair and the Birkenstock Mayaris I'm sad to say they weren't as comfortable as I would've liked. I started to get nerve pain and numbness in my big toes after the first day of wearing them seriously in Italy despite breaking them in a bit at home before heading out. Started to get worse over the course of my trip and I had to start distributing weight differently on my feet (heel > outer edges of feet > rolling onto the toes out then into the big toes) so I could survive the days. That being said, these were more comfortable than the Mayaris because they didn't give me blisters like the Mayaris did. I'll still keep them for day to day casual wear and I like the way they look. I just wish it had a little bit of arch support like the Mayaris do.

I ordered these even though I was not too impressed with them in picture form; however, when they arrived promptly, I was surprised and pleased. They look expensive and feel better. I liked them so much I found and bought the black pair...I go by the theory that it the shoe fits (and it looks good) get every color you can find...

I haven't worn these yet but love the look and the toe/ball part is wide enough for me. I think if you have narrow feet these won't work unless you are OK with a loose shoe. My feet aren't super wide but wide enough for many shoes of this style to not work for me. I will say the ankle strap couple be a bit longer, I have it on the very last hole but I have pretty large ankles.

I have flat and narrow feet and wear a size 7 1/2 - 8 . I ordered a size 38 in this style and they fit perfect. These sandals are so comfortable. I will be ordering more papillo styles.

If you have high arches and wide feet the straps are too short. Sadly I will be returning this pair. If not for those issues I would have loved wearing them!

Bequem und hübsch!Etwas schmaler/zierlicher, als die klassischen Birkenstock, aber sitzt trotzdem perfekt an meinem nicht ganz schmalen Fuß. Der 2cm Absatz ist wirklich nur minimal, macht aber einen etwas schickeren Fuß/Eindruck.
