Excellent tutorial for making several types of dolls.
Information on how to make a variety of dolls using different media. Patterns, instruction and tips included.I take all doll and toy books to a copy house (fedex or UPS office) and make copies of the patterns, enlarging or refucing as instructed. Then take copies home and cut them out for use. This leaves the book and original patterns intact for future use.

Definitely useful.
I haven't dug my way through this in its entirety yet, but it looks fun, useful, informative, and is certainly what you'd call 'eye candy' if you're into doll making. I wanted some helpful information on certain techniques, and though this doesn't exactly address my questions, I've already found all sorts of intriguing suggestions to try next time I have a few spare hours. Love it.

Wonderful Book for Doll making.
I gave this rating because the book is wonderful for different type to learn how to make. After sewing Miniature Bears for 30 years I have been making dolls/Angels proceeds to go to Cancer Research in memory if those I have lost to cancer. My hospital sved my life Dec 13 2011. I made my mind up then if I was going to be sick, I would take care of my self and sell them for proceeds for cancer. This unique book has been so exciting for moving up to new ways of making dolls. The simple way of helping one follow a new way.

Enchanting Art Dolls
This book contains good, detailed instructions with pictures. There is a list of tools, w/photos, Basics of doll making, sculpting tips w/pictures, a discussion on crazy quilting, eight projects, patterns and a gallery. The projects include dolls, fish,a teddy bear and an enchanted cottage. The dolls are made of clay with wire armatures, but the fish, bear and cottage are fabric.I'm happy with the book and intend on making several, if not all of the projects. L. Dombrowsky

I bought this book as reference for a summer project with my granddaughter. She is 8 years old and loves clay. I am looking forward to creating a doll with her. The information is simple enough and not intimidating at all for a first-time doll maker such as my granddaughter.

An interesting book, good instructions
I have so many how to make doll books, that I'm a bit jaded. So, before reviewing this book, I stepped back and asked myself if it would be a good book for someone with fewer how to make doll books. The answer is yes. The dolls have clay heads, hands and feet, with cloth bodies, and wire armatures. The author did a good job of giving usable instructions, and the illustrations are helpful. I like the gallery, as we seldom see many eastern European or Russian dolls. I think this is a very worthwhile book.
