The packing was good quality. The light was packed with a cardboard ...
I really labored over my first purchase of a tactical flashlight. I wanted something that I can use equally on camping trips and for home defense. The 1000 lumen rating and strobe seemed to fit the bill. The light arrived and I was excited to open the package. The packing was good quality. The light was packed with a cardboard disk inside to keep the batter from discharging. I removed the battery to charge it. The USB feature charged the battery in about 15 minutes (it must have been nearly full charge) and the green light worked on the battery. The light body looked and felt great. This is where it took a turn for the worse. The large thumb/end switch clicked and the light powered on. Then the light flickered without touching the side switch. I tried to cycle through the different lumen output levels... it was very dim on on all settings. The SOS did seem to work. When I held the side button, the strobe worked. Through the entire test the light flickered. I never saw anything close to 500 lumen, let alone 1000. The side switch seemed way to light to the touch and had no tactile response... it was like a mushy spring.I am returning this. I am buying a mainstream light from one of the "high priced" options I tried to avoid. I am looking at Streamlight, Olight, and Surefire. Sometimes you get what you pay for.... I really wanted this to work.

Best light I’ve found for the money.
I really like this flashlight. After my Olight baton gave up the ghost I said to myself, “there’s got to be good lights out there that don’t cost a small fortune”. I picked up this one and the headlamp model A2S. I’m very satisfied for the money. The only thing I can really complain about the A1S is that I wish the function switch protruded a little more to make it easier to find in the dark. I’ve been turning the clip around in line with the switch to better index where the switch is.

Great light but older model worked perfect
Great light but older model worked perfect. We bought ten of them. Just received two of this model and both of them had defective mode switches. Returning.

Best bang for the buck
Best bang for the buck flashlight. I have the A1 & the A1S. For me I like the A1 better. Cheaper and a tighter beam which seems to shine farther then the A1s, depends what you like a tighter beam or a floodier beam. Both are built solid.

it can not be beat and the quality is just as good as any other product on the market today
Upon receiving my A!S I was very impressed with the type oflums this flashlight puts out. For the price, it can not be beatand the quality is just as good as any other product on themarket today. The rechargeable 18650 battery is one of thebest and will save me money over time.

The best flashlight I ever had that only lasted a week
I was really impressed with the the brightness at first, and overall it was a solid flashlight. But after less than a week the light would only produce a flicker, before completely shutting off. Pretty disappointing, don't waste your time or money on it.

Atactical A1: Best bang for the buck. 😀
Very nice flashlight. Build quality is very close to my Thrunite TN12. I have the NW version. Free battery with usb cord is a plus too. Get them while you can. 😁

Great bargain flashlight so far, mode button seems a bit weak though.
This is a GREAT little light. Nice and durable (I've deliberately lightly abused it for testing purposes) and is confirmed waterproof. It is BRIGHT, and has decent battery life.

Three lights three bad switches.
I initially bought 1 A1S and it worked great for about two weeks. I'm a home inspector and I use the light every day. I returned it when the switch became defective.

Not cool
I got mine yesterday and inside was a hand written note that told me that it had power issues and the mode selector wasn't working properly.
