I think Richard Allen is one of the relatively few writers who addressed the needs of a young audience without vilifying or patronising them. I'm a huge fan. I've actually written a novel, which was inspired by Allen. It's about a Pitbull who roams London stealing cars and looking for sex, drugs and canine kicks. It's very funny. Have a look.
