"Iatrogenesis" should be, but isn't...
... in everyone's vocabulary. It is not, unfortunately.Yet.My best estimation, six to twelve months from now. For those who got a clot-shot mRNA "experimental" jab...

Just the tip of the iceberg.
Dr. Abram Hoffer maybe the greatest healer of Mankind since Jesus Christ. I suggest reading 'Orthomolecular Medicine for Everyone' by him and Saul as well. This is an excellent book, especially if you're naive about Hospitals. I had a friend who was head of nursing at large hospital and told me much of her time was spent trying to cover up or fix all the terrible things the MDs or medications did. She said, 'God help you, even if you're an MD, and you stay at a hospital and don't have an 'advocate' there every day to make sure they don't kill you'.You've read the other reviews, but in fact, the case against the AMA is criminal and goes far deeper than Hoffer would be allowed to admit. See 'Murder by Injection' by Eustace Mullins. Hoffer once said we would have to sue the AMA for proper care at some point. The bottom line is MDs are the number 1 killers in the USA every year, not guns, not auto accidents, but MDs. Think about that.

Good information everyone needs to know
I was thinking of the covid-19 fiasco in 2020-2021 and what the authors said about the hierarchy existing in hospitals. The nurses are not seen as equal co- workers with the doctors, so their excellent opinions are often dismissed.

HOW TO GET THE BEST FROM HOSPITALS
As always, Abram Hoffer & Andrew Saul don't disappoint. Paradoxically, hospitals ARE dangerous places - to be avoided unless really necessary (... and I'm a surgeon myself !). The (many) reasons are openly explained by the authors. It is not only because of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and a miriad of other well known reasons (which we usually forget to consider), yet even because of our most primary needs, like BASIC NUTRITION - on which depends the patient's defenses and full recovery. Despite its summit importance, it is often disdained as the last consideration - when considered... Going further, the book teaches how to avoid the many pitfalls that threat surgical patients and even the clinical medical procedures outcome.

Good topic, isappointingly hard to read
I just got the book. The contents are worth every bit of five stars but the poor writing makes the book hard to read. I received Andrew Saul's book "Doctor Yourself" 2nd ed at the same time. That book has somewhat similar contents (excellent), but the presentation in "Doctor Yourself" is also very, very good. Like night and day. Andrew Saul is clearly a good writer, so the writing of "Hospitals and Health" seems to reflect somebody else (the 90+ year-old Abram Hoffer?)I will still read the book as the topic is very important and I just paid for it. "Hospitals and Health" is just not really readable. I ought to be done over and reissued!
