I got this to replace the batteries in my SNES games. The tools are decent quality and the batteries fit like a charm.

Correct tool to open SNES game cartridges to get to the battery inside the game cartridge in order to replace it and restore the 'game save' (scores etc) feature. Correct tool along with correct batteries with solder tabs, couldn't ask for more. Thank you!

Replaced the battery on my copy of Zelda Ocarina of Time. The only issue I ran into is the negative side is the correct thickness but there is a little bit extra metal before you get to the skinny part and so I just bent the piece of metal to where only the skinny part could poke through. Just make sure you have the plus and minus correct and its a simple soldering job. For the price; the kit is more than worth it!

Nice little kit. Even comes in a handy plastic case. I used this to replace the batteries in 30 year old SNES cartridges that I found in my mom’s attic. These replacements worked perfectly. Don’t get the regular cell batteries without tabs because they won’t secure in properly and you won’t get the correct positive/negative alignment. Definitely will be using this again in future when I get my hands on more retro games. My kit accidentally came with 1 extra battery (total of 6). Mistake? I’ll take it!
