This charger get HOT!
I've only started using this in my RV, but under full 10A output its hot. I'm not sure that's good. The charge state LEDs indicate OK, but I'm not real comfortable with the operation temp on the casing.What I probably need to do is get a thermal temp reading on it and contact Guest.

However, a word of caution.
Buy the correct one. I have a pair of batteries. When trying to determine which model I needed i read a review that said the Guest 2710A 10A / 12V, 1 Bank would work on a pair of batteries if they are in parallel. After receiving the unit, the manual shows this is incorrect. A bank is not two batteries in parallel. The review is incorrect. I have to charge the batteries individually. This would not be acceptable for people who want to install and forget. Over all I am happy with the unit. I will replace it with the proper model when I upgrade my system in a few months. Yes, I would buy it again.

Seems like a good buy
I finally hooked charger up and everything works through the stages. But my battery was fully charged and new. Don't know how well it'll work over time or on charging a low battery, I would say I'd by it again.

Compact 10A Charger
Added charger for a 5th AGM battery dedicated to bass boat electronics. This was the most compact 10A charger we could find. Fit perfectly and seems to be working very well. Nice product.

Good Product
This is a proven brand. Works as advertised. Be patient on the first charge, the charger must learn your batteries. First charge took longer than expected, but now it does a fine job.

Guest Charge Pro, 17 years old and still going...
I needed an auto charger to keep batteries maintained during extended non-use. My first though was a Deltran Power Tender Plus 5A until I looked up the price. So I asked myself "what brand is on my boat"? It's a Guest Charge Pro model 2611 installed under the deck in 2001. Been running for 17 years every day operating from -0F to -120F ambient and still works great. Offers twice the current (10A) & is IP67 rated. After it arrives I'll re-rate this review if I experience less than great quality and stellar reliability. So glad they're still manufactured and available. Why buy anything else.
