Compact and powerful.
I got these mics because I needed some new ones. I am not one who makes videos often, but thought that I would get some for some content. It was super easy to set up. It connected to my phone with ease. Sound quality seems great to me and clear, but I do not have much to compare to. The design is fine. They are compact with a big impact. The magnet on the back of the microphone is very strong. It clipped on my thick sweat shirt very easily. Great price and product.

FANTASTIC! Such an improvement over the built-in mic! AND a REMARKABLY LOW PRICE!
I LOVE THIS THING! SIX stars! How about TEN STARS?!??! I don't know how I ever got along without it. I live fairly close (1/3 of a mile of so) to a major highway, and anything I'd shoot outdoors always had road noise. As you'll see in my video, the Hollyland Lark A1 put an end to that problem! It's absolutely night and day! Easy to set up. Literally just plug and go! If the receiver is plugged into your phone, the phone automatically switches over from the built-in mic. The app is straightforward and easy to figure out. Holds a charge for a good while. Seems like 60-90 minutes or so? I haven't actually measured it. But considering there are two, you can use one while the other one charges. The magnetic clip is just fantastic. SOOOO much easier and gives you WAY more options than a traditional mechanical, tension clip. And I LOVE the compact size compared to all those big, clunky things you see sooo many people using lately. SO much less distracting in your images. And the price!??!?! It's unbelievably affordable. I'd gladly pay $100, maybe even $200 for this mic! Is it AS GOOD as a $1000, pro-level mic? NO. Is it as good as a $300 semi-pro mic? Probably not. But I think most people would have to have them side-by-side to notice a difference. (if there was any at all) As far as any negatives... Mostly trivial! I wish it had a hard case to store everything in. BUT the "box" does have well-fitted compartments, so I guess that will get the job done! And the magnets are so strong that if one mic is in the charging base, the other will try to yank it out as you try to put it in next to it. It does also seem to add a little bit of distortion to your voice. But for the price? I'm quite happy to call that "personality," along the lines of tube distortion in an amplifier : ) I can't believe I've been shooting videos all these years without this. And if you get it, I'm certain you'll feel the same way!

Great mic for the price! Incredible addition!
Great sounding microphone, good connection, use it with my iPhone & Android phone, and have managed to connect it to my laptop as well. Small enough that I can carry it anywhere, also works that its small enough it blends in with my black clothing, can't really tell its there, battery life is exceptional! I love this brand, also have a Hollyland Lark M2, the button mic, the sound quality and ease of connection between the two of them are spot on. It works very well in outdoor weather as well, very windy around here, and I can still hear everything crystal clear. Highly recommend this mic.

Great Things Come in Tiny Blue Packages!
Buy the mics! I’m not a person that ever leaves reviews, but the Hollyland Lark A1 brought me out of my shell to say something. I just received the mics today and was excited to test them out. At first look out of the box they are ADORABLE! Super tiny and lightweight. I also love that Hollyland included a little drawstring bag to hold the cord and little wind furry things in. I popped these adorable little gems into my iPhone 15 Pro Max and became even more impressed. The setup is super simple (you have to download the Hollyland app). Once I plugged them in and started recording video I am actually stunned at how well they sound. I purposely turned on loud noises in the background (inside my bedroom) such as my fan and white noise. I turned on the medium noise cancellation and I couldn’t hear the background sounds at all. The best part is my voice/audio sounded clean and crisp and not like I was in a box (like some other brand mics do with NC). The quality of the mics feels very premium. The size of the charging case and accessories is super portable. Easily fits in my bag for daily carry. I’m just blown away at how great and simply the Hollyland Lark A1s work. Let’s recap from the beginning… BUY THE MICS!

Reliable wireless audio for casual creators with a few caveats
I’ve been using the Hollyland LARK A1 Duo as a portable mic kit for video and interview work, and it has impressed me in most situations. The transmitters are tiny and so light that they clip on easily without looking awkward, and the included charging case keeps everything topped up. With that setup, I can run sessions for hours without worrying about batteries, which takes a lot of stress out of mobile recording. Paired with my phone and camera, the sound is crisp and natural in normal indoor settings, and even with louder voices or sudden peaks it held up without distorting. Compared to the built-in mic on my camera, the improvement in clarity and presence is dramatic. Where I started to notice tradeoffs was outdoors and at longer distances. The advertised range is generous, but when I moved farther away or into areas with a lot of wireless interference, I occasionally heard small dropouts. They weren’t constant, but it’s something I wouldn’t want happening in a critical one-take shoot. The noise cancellation feature is useful, especially in windy or busy environments, but at its higher levels it can make voices sound a little unnatural. I found that leaving it at the lower setting struck the best balance between cutting background noise and keeping speech sounding like a real voice. For vlogs, interviews, or any project where you want reliable, portable audio without a complicated setup, this kit makes the process simple. It’s not a substitute for higher-end wireless systems in a professional studio, but for solo creators and small teams it delivers quality that’s a big step up from built-in microphones. The long battery life, pocket-sized transmitters, and charging case make it especially convenient for on-the-go work. Just know that to get the best results, you’ll want to test it in your recording environment and adjust the noise reduction rather than just maxing it out.

Surprisingly Rich Sound in a Pocket-Sized Mic
I’ve been using the Hollyland Lark A1 for a week now with my iPhone and MacBook Air, and honestly, it’s hard not to be impressed. This little thing punches far above its size. It connects instantly, no fuss: open the case, and it’s ready to record. The sound quality is where it really earns its keep. I ran a quick test lineup against my other mics: the Shure MV6 ($170) scored about an 8.5 on my “voice richness and warmth” scale, the $39 Lark A1 lands comfortably at a 7.5, while my MacBook, EarPods, and wireless buds all fall somewhere between 2 and 5. That’s a clear gap, and it’s noticeable in real recordings. In “low” EQ mode, the Lark A1 delivers a natural tone that’s neither too boomy nor tinny. It just sounds balanced, full, and professional. The build feels premium, the charging case doubles as a great carry pouch, and battery life easily lasts me through a full day of filming or calls. Having two mics in the set is a fantastic bonus for interviews or two-person videos. If you’re someone who wants plug-and-play quality without going full studio setup, this mic hits the sweet spot. Solid 9/10 overall—7.5 for sound, 10 for convenience. Highly recommended.

Great wireless system!
I could say for the price. This is a great device. However, my experience is that it's a great device regardless of its cheap cost. Does its job very well and creates professional sounding audio. Definitely recommend!

FANTASTIC mic!!
The sound is resonantly perfect, and does not distort like other mics I've used. Super convenient to attach to your clothing with really powerful magnets. Easy charging and storage; the set is nicely compact. I'm amazed at the quality from something so small!
