Medium was the right size for a lady with large hands!
I had two attempts to get the correct size and the refunds were processed promptly whilst the replacement purchase arrived the next day. A medium is perfect for a lady with large hands. Quite thick but lovely and warm for open water swimming, I have the booties too and remain very pleased with both.

Kept my hands comfortable
This is my first pair which I'm using for cold water swimming. They have made a huge difference. My hands were fine after a 20 minute swim on 28th Nov. UK air temp 7°. Water 🥶

These keep your hands warm
On days when the cold water will bite into your bare hands, these offer great protection. Fingers can become chilly after a while in water below 10 deg C, but they do heat up quickly once you come out so and they are better than no protection. They are tight to take off but you develop the knack after a while. I measured my hands and bought the appropriate size - they fit very will.

Quality is good but the S size can still be a bit too big and wish there was an XS
The material and the way they are made seems good, but the S size is still to big for my hands so as soon as I get in the water, the water flashes in immediately because they are not tight enough for my hands. My hands are 7.8cm at in the palm area just below the fingers, where we are advised to take the measure, and the length of my hand is about 17cm. My wrists are fairly small and the gloves are just a little too loose that's why the water goes straight in. The material also seem to stretch after only a couple of immersions, (unless is my hands that are shrinking haha) so my gloves are now even more loose. I have just bought some velcro strip that I am going to tie around the wrist, on top of the gloves to see if that will stop water going in, or at least slow that down....we shall see. I have tried with elastic bands but didn't work! I have the same problem with the socks of this same brand, so will test the velcro on them too. Otherwise the product seems good, but I have used them only six times so only more use will tell if they are really a good quality or...

The worst wetsuit gloves I have ever had!
I only bought these out of desperation as Covid and Brexit has resulted in a TOTAL lack of availability of quality brand name wetsuit gloves. Wore them for about 10 seconds and freezing water came in all over - through the seams and directly through the neoprene. The gloves are practically useless!! Luckily I'd carried my old gloves to the beach just in case which kept my hands warmer even though they now have holes in and are worn out. DO NOT BUY, TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!

Does not function for thermal insulation.
Unfortunately these gloves are totally inadequate for thermal protection due to water leakage through the stitching. I note the seller covers themselves in the description by stating there is some water leakage, but unfortunately this is quite an understatement - water simply pours out of the gaps in the stitching and this equates to significant heat loss. This product is not suitable for cold water swimming - when used I had to cut short my swim due to the pain in my hands from the cold. However I will say that this seller's other product (3mm neoprene thermal socks) were fantastic and I had very toasty toes - so hopefully this illustrates that whilst both products are advertised by the seller as "Thermal" 3mm neoprene, this particular item is totally inadequate for this purpose.

Great buy!
I bought these for paddleboarding in the sea and they were great for the 8 degree water. I measured my hand just below my knuckles and it is 7.5cm; the medium fit perfectly but perhaps slightly long in the fingers which wasn't really an issue. My hands were still functional after 2 hours in the water which was the main thing. The material held up well and the grip was good, I didn't experience any slipping on the paddle or when climbing back on the board.
