At sight, the wine has an intense ruby red colour. The nose is expressed on hints of ripe red fruits, berries and cola, aromatic herbs and toasted almonds. On the palate, the taste is austere, rich and compact. Shows a sustained body and good acid component. It progresses on notes of dried fruit, with a deep, persistent finish.Sassicaia goes deliciously with refined main courses based on red meat or game. Excellent with grilled meat, roasts and fillets of beef or with traditional Tuscan dishes, based on wild boar.Sassicaia is undoubtedly one of the most famous Italian wines in the world. It comes from a vineyard of 75 hectares particularly suited, in which the parcels have different characteristics, with limestone formations and a high stony content, a particularity from which probably derives the toponym "sassicaia". The exposure of the land is west and south-west. The fermentation takes place in steel, at a controlled temperature, with maceration on the skins for about 10 days. The ageing of Bolgheri Sassicaia Tenuta San Guido takes place in French oak barrels, for 24 months, with subsequent bottling.
