Byrna CL [Compact Launcher] Kinetic Launcher Ultimate Bundle - Non Lethal Kinetic Projectile Launcher, Home & Personal Defense

I am a 31 year old SAHM of 2. I ordered this because I was interested in carrying something to help me defend myself/my kids when I am out and about running errands or going places but I did not want to run the risk of carrying my home defense Glock and having my kids meet a tragic end because they somehow got to it.This is an absolutely perfect compromise. I got it yesterday and trained with it this morning. I had heard that the first trigger pull can be hard due to it being necessary to pop the canister so I wanted to make sure I practiced that. I did not find it to be as hard as I thought it would be and it was relatively easy for me to fire the first half-force round and then immediately fire a second full force round. I don’t think it will take much getting used to at all.I plan to load my magazine so that the first half force round is a regular kinetic projectile and the second full force round is one of the chemical max projectiles. I think this will be a super efficient way to ward off anyone I need to, should it ever come to that. I do wish that the ammo for this model wasn’t so expensive and cost prohibitive, but I get it. They’re the only ones that make .61 so why not get a profit from it. Overall I really do love this thing so far and I feel much better knowing I have it on me when out and about alone with my kiddos. My little sister recently moved in with us and used to regularly cc herself but now that she’s with my kids all the time she doesn’t feel comfortable doing that anymore. I think I will get her one of these for her birthday!!!

This launcher, is really sweet. Easy to conceal. Picked up for my wife, with an SD as well. The launchers are very accurate. Worth every penny spent in my over regulated state. Gives a great non lethal option. These are no joke. I'd really hate to be on the receiving end.

Very light,very easy to carry, love the sights on it, would definitely deter any attackers. It is very accurate, it's not that loud, it's definitely made very well and very easy to change magazines and air cylinders

It does what it claims, devastatingly, but I think it's way overpriced. High quality, but it's a plastic CO2 gun, it's not a real pistol with metal barrel, and inner workings of a legitimate pistol. It's a CO2, plastic pistol that shoots huge plastic balls, really, really hard. Which is great and as advertised, but too expensive for the make of the product.

I haven’t been THIS disappointed since the Biden administration… I was SO SO excited to get the Byrna CL; but I really had to think about it as the kit was not as enticing as I would have liked for the price BUT I saw it on Amazon and decided tocave in (that was the first and worst mistake).I have 5 hand guns - 3 riffles - 1 semi - 3 air soft and a few shotguns so I am ok in the self defense / weapons field . I am also the head of a women’s self defense group of over 8000 members on Facebook (people talk)This is a toy . A very pricy toy that you won’t get to play with AND also has no replacement or returns on Amazon .The C02 chamber is sealed by a metal twist cap … there is so much information that changes (the seal must be flushed is the most info out there ) but obviously , too late I landed upon a great YouTuber “Raiden Self Defense” explains the process properly .Now my cap is stripped and I can’t re open it!!!!!

We have a Byrna SD and like it. The thought of having a smaller -although just slightly smaller - was appealing. So when Amazon had it on special we bought. Came today and can’t believe it DOES NOT HAVE A SAFETY!!! I think this is very foolish and dangerous. Unfortunately can not return.

I bought the CL for my wife back in June. I decided to give it a shot myself and I can tell you it does not shoot 41 joules, more like 10-15 joules with the Byrna projectiles and 14-18 joules with the .61 aluminum projectiles and up to around 12 good power shots per CO2.. it is more of a element of surprise type of edc, enough for her to get away while the others are licking their wounds.. very recommended for especially women..
