New 2 Qt OD Canteen with Used 2 Qt OD Canteen Cover with Strap - K1025

3rd update: as I stated before, and the dishonest seller argued, the gasket is missing. I've been told that by ex military, bushcrafter and mil surplus shops. I found 2 gaskets at work (bought 2 unfortunately) that fit, and now they don't leak. Amazing since I was told they don't need and never came with them by the seller. HEY SELLER-WANT TO SEND ME SOME GASKETS SO I CAN USE THESE DAMN THINGS?UPDATE: bought 2. Both leak out the top. Bad enough to soak the cover. Probably enought to empty it if left anything but straight up. That SUCKSI was hoping to carry it cross way across my chest. Nope. The strap is so short that even just slung around your shoulder like a purse, its just, and I do mean just, under your armpit. Still can be carried on belt, but that isn't what I was hoping for. I ordered two of these and got two completely different canteens. They were super dirty, every single metal piece on them was covered in this green and blue oxidation that was sticky and stained EVERYTHING. It was easy enough to clean off, but seriously, don't send something out looking like that. The most disappointing part though, despite getting two separate canteens, that was fine, whatever, the worst part was they were BOTH unuseable. The military canteens require a gasket otherwise they leak something fierce. I have absolutely no doubt that if these had actually come with the gasket they would be amazing canteens, but there were no gaskets and I can't find where to purchase them anywhere, and it was just a waste of money to buy these. The one square canteen I got, which is what the listing was actually for, is impossible to find without having to buy the whole cover again, so I gave up on trying to replace it. The other one that came, the one that was not the one pictured in the listing, was very easy to replace and I gave the cover for that one with a new nalgene bottle in it to my boyfriend. I just bought a completely different canteen. A fourth canteen. Very dissapointed.

It came right on time, the "used" pouch is in almost new shape, very gently used and hard to tell it's seen much action at all, the strap is in great shape too. The canteen comes brand new, it has a peppermint smell inside of it, i washed it out real good and filled it up, it works fine, no leaks. It's a bit collapsible but not to the point where i'd trust folding it up. It holds 2 Quarts of water and the pouch has a small slot for storing purifier tablets or drink mixes. The bladder hasn't leaked yet and the inside of the pouch is lined with fleece for insulation, mine even had instructions printed inside. Overall i haven't had it long but it definitely seems like a tough item that can withstand some abuse, to my knowledge it is BPA Free. It comes with a regular M1 canteen cap but you can buy a cap with a gas mask adapter as well if you desire for both the 1 and 2 quart canteens. Works great for an outdoor event such as hiking or camping, or even during an emergency like a hurricane. Keep in mind that when it is full it does have a little weight to it

To those low star reviews that don't seem to know what surplus means. Surplus products are more than likely used so don't expect anything shiny and brand new. The canteen that I got has seen better days but the wear and tear, to me, is simply beautiful. I'll definitely order a few more as gifts for my friends and family. Thanks to the seller for an awesome product!

This is a good, simple, used military issue canteen case and strap, with a new, soft, but sturdy canteen.My case and strap we're definitely used and dirty. A little dish detergent, suds and brushing cleaned them up.All in good shape. Usable. The strap is a little shorter than I wanted, but will fit somewhat tightly diagonally across the torso...or hang easily from a shoulderThe new canteen is just fine. Lite weight nylon- plastic, will easily bend to the finger when empty, but certainly not flatten or fold.Overall, pretty good product...after washing.

I love this 2qt military canteen. You can use the included ALICE clips to attach it to your ALICE pack (medium or large) or put on the ALICE frame in the space above the kidney pad and between your back and the pack. Regardless, water is life...guess that reference....

I love this canteen. The inside, hard plastic canteen part was new as listed. Super lightweight!!! The bag was used as listed. Rugged. I loved it. Makes me wonder who used it before me, you know? Theres probably some history in this thing. Anyways, its PERFECT for hiking. Holds 2qts water and is incredibly comfortable to wear. I love it and will keep mine forever.

I just got 2 of these and tested for leaks as I washed them. No leaks. I like how the covers were used by a service member, aka a hero. Both carrying cases are dirtier than I expected, but hopefully they will clean up ok. 1 cover has "US" on it, the other doesn't. Doesn't appear to be real good quality but will work great for hiking and camping.
