I had an older moisture merer that worked fine, but wanted something where I could check ph levels as well and decided to get this because it was a decent price and had good reviews. Sadly this does not work accurately at all. I added some acidic fertilizer to a specific plant and watered it deeply. I tested this meter first on another plant that had not been watered and had no fertilizer added. When I checked the fertilized and watered plant the meter barely moved. I tested multiple other plants and the same thing. I tried my old meter and it indicated that there was moisture in the plant. I suggest you find another product as this did not work properly.

I recently got some new plants that are a bit sensitive so I needed to not guess conditions and this has helped me tremendously. Bouncing between my tropicals which need varying moisture levels and soil acidity is really easy now with this meter. It’s really small and light and doesn’t need batteries! I’ve found myself using it to adjust my watering with other plants I hadn’t ever worried about and found some were slightly over watered with this meter. I wish I hadn’t waited to get this tool considering how low cost it is.
