Love my new camp chair
The media could not be loaded. Initially I was hesitant to purchase this chair because I had concerns about the quality. But after I opened the package and set the chair up the first time those concerns flew right out the window. This chair is very well made and the quality of the materials used is excellent. I'm really happy I decided to give the Terralite a try. This chair is easy to set up, it holds a lot of weight and it's very comfortable. Also the Terralite chair comes with Terrafeet to keep the legs from sinking into mud and sand. If you're thinking about getting a portable chair, you won't be disappointed with the Terralite. I would definitely purchase this chair again. Hope this helps.

TerraLite Chair holds up well IN THE MUD!
The media could not be loaded. Wildhorn Outfitters built a solid chair! It holds it's own agains a well-known competitor brand (REI) as shown in this video. I am an intermediate backpacker and have often been frustrated by the feet of my tripod stool and chair sinking into the rain-soaked ground of the high Uinta mountains in Utah. This chair meets that problem head-on. The chair supports more weight, doesn't sink in the sand, and is cheaper than the competitor brand in the video by about twenty bucks!. The feet are a little heavy, but if you want a comfortable, no-hassle seat next to a lake or fire in the rain-soaked mountains, it is worth the extra weight! The attached video review of the chair discusses a few specs, setup, and then we TEST IT IN THE MUD (3:12)!

Big feet = Big difference
The media could not be loaded. If you've tried out one collapsable camp chair you are probably familiar with how this chair works. I've tried out several and this one works great. The balance is fantastic and you can lean back in it better than many other chairs of this style. The one big difference is that this chair comes with interchangeable feet. These larger feet make a world of difference when you are sitting in your chair in sand or anywhere with soft soil. This chair becomes usable in more locations than any other camp chair because of these larger feet. You can use this at the beach where you couldn't use other camp chairs.I took this chair with me on a week-long canoeing trip and this chair quickly became the favorite to sit in. I also have used this camping with my family inside the tent and out. It's quick to set up, my kids love it, and it's very comfortable. It packs down so small that I'm keep finding ways to use it.Statistics:Weight with small feet:25.8 oz1.6 lbs.731 kgWeight with large feet:35.8 oz2.2 lbs1.014 kg

No more squatting in the MUD!!!!
SOOOO, I have been eyeing backpacking/camping chairs for quite some time now. I checked out and tested everything REI had to offer in the backpacking/camping category as I wanted something lightweight, compact, and sturdy for backpacking trips. I spent 8 days wallowing in the mud last summer on the West Coast Trail on Vancouver island and decided I was investing in a decent chair. I tried the Flex Lite, the Alite and a few other "ultralight" chairs I found at REI that were definitely gonna break under my fat 200 pound butt. Not this thing though, this is a man's throne built for vikings. Ant at only 2 lbs, I fully appreciate the cost of extra weight on long trips. Maybe this isn't for you ultralight extremists who only sleep on half a pad at night to save weight, but for the rest of us it's totally worth it. I just wish I would have bought it earlier. You're not gonna find a better deal than 50 bucks at REI either...No more squatting in the MUD!!!!

Getting more than I paid for
Wanted a lightweight, easily carried chair for general use. I've seen similar camp chairs on various forums, and decided to take the plunge. I'm not an ultra-backpacker, so having the absolute lightest chair wasn't a concern. That said, this chair tips the scales at under 3 lbs. The top-rated backpacking chair from Backpacking Magazine weighs about 1/2 lb less, but cost $100 more --- so this one was a no-brainer for me. I unpacked the chair, pulled the frame out, and almost all the supports snapped right into place. Putting the fabric on for the first time was tough, but no more than I expected. I'm 6' and 230, so definitely not one of the petite folks.... plopped down in the chair and settled right in. It was comfortable enough, could have had some more shoulder room. But, for what it is supposed to be -- I could've sat around a campfire for a few hours, just chillin'. Or at an outdoor concert, and been just fine. Just a note: I'm a 38" waist, and the hip room was snug. If you are a bigger dude (say, 42"+ waist), you'll feel like a can in a coozy going in and out. The TerraFeet thingys slipped on easily (taking them off was a booger, though), and with these on, sitting in soft grass, I didn't sink down hardly any. I can see how these Terra things will be a HUGE benefit at the beach, field, woods, etc. Taking it apart was easy -- I flipped it over, flexed the back supports, and the seat stays just slipped right off the support rods. It easily wrapped up back into the original package, which has a 6-8" Velcro band at each end. This whole thing will easily strap on to my 3-day backpack, or a sling-pack if I'm going to an outdoors event. I got the Olive color, and really like it. Bottom line --- you can spend a heckuva lot more $$ on a chair, save a few ounces, but not get any better quality. This chair is perfect for what it is - light, small, easy to deploy, and comfy. I'd love to see them put a sale / discount on these, cuz I would definitely load up, replace all my folding chairs with different colors. This is going to get a workout inside, when extra folks are over for football games.

Worked fine for 1 year then plastic leg brackets split
Had this for nearly a year. Really comfortable. Loved it until one of the plastic leg brackets cracked. Now it's good for nothing. In 225lbs. Ad says it can hold 350lb. It did for a while

get what you pay for i guess
very light, packs up nice, handles on bag are awesome for storage to my roll bars in my jeep.broke on my first use. the cheap end plugs that hold the bungees in place two broke on the very first set up. I bought some replacement bungees and caps from a local camping supply store but cost me $15 bucks. after that extra cost the value is not what I was hoping for but I have friends that have bought more expensive "K" brand chairs if you know what I mean and I'm still in the green verse them and their chairs costs. would definitely not buy again though just due to the hassle, would probably drop the extra coin on the high quality stuff.

Top Stuhl...

Great chair, not great quality
The chair is what I expected except for the quality. 1 of the bungee/cord retainers blew out the first time I put the chair together. Good thing I am handy and have good glue on hand. I have a similar chair from a differing manufacturer for 3 years that I use for camping and hunting with no issues. You get what you pay for. The sand feet look like they will do the trick.
