I got these as recommended by my doctor for acid reflux (well, he recommended phone books but I didn't know where to find those and didn't think they'd be very sturdy). It looks ridiculous, obviously, and I wish they weren't white. That said, they are very stable and sturdy and do exactly what they are supposed to. Also, when I lie down, I can't even tell I am on an incline, so it doesn't bother my sleep. In fact, I am probably sleeping better with them. They just look silly, but that's pretty unavoidable. My only other complaint is that I wish it came with a 3rd smaller one because my queen bed has a support in the middle of the bed, but I found something else to wedge under there for added support.

a plus for your breathing or reflux condition
these do the trick for elevating the whole head of the bed which my doctor wanted me to do to alleviate acid reflux symptoms. I think do sleep better by using them. I think the recommended 6" would have been too much elevation for me. I don't have a headboard because my queen size bed takes up pretty much the whole room. It looks steeper than it feels. I won't say i love them because who really wants to do this?) and i'd rather have the bed flat. So far i have had no problem with them or with sliding down in the bed, so yes it was a good purchase for my needs

Not beautiful, but quite useful
I purchased the 5 inch size and to be honest, my bed looks a bit silly. The first morning after sleeping on them, my husband and I both woke up with achy hips. But by the next day, we were used to it. I have GERD and sleeping on an incline has been very helpful. I believe they have helped us both with snoring issues. They are an inexpensive solution to some troublesome health issues. As for looking silly, I plan to make a custom dust ruffle to try to beautify a bit.

These bed risers are an easy fix ... raising your head with additional pillows is not effective in preventing acid reflux
.These bed risers are the easiest way to add 5 inches of incline to a bed. It's a quick fix - just lift each bed post or wheel and slip it in the heavy duty bed riser.WHAT'S IN THE BOX:2 heavy duty bed risers for the bed head and 2 gripping floor protectors for the other 2 legsRest assured, these bed risers offer complete bed stability. The base of the bed risers are rubberized making them stable and protecting the bedroom floor. Each bed riser cone supports 500 pounds maximum weight on each leg. So, the pair is guaranteed to hold 1000 pounds ... now that's reassuring!SEE MY PHOTOS IN CUSTOMER IMAGESThese bed risers are a must have for acid reflux sufferers. Sleeping on a regular pillow combined with the bed head elevation with these risers would elevate the upper body 6 to 8 inches - effective to prevent reflux of gastric contents.JUST REMEMBER: Eat smaller meals and wait at least three hours after eating before lying down or going to bed.Hope my review and photos were helpful ... These bed risers worked just fine on my 90-year-old parents' metal-frame bed
These bed risers worked just fine on my 90-year-old parents' metal-frame bed, and were simple to install. (Note: On queen- and king-size beds, you will have to slip a brick, or something of similar size, under the center-post of the frame, because otherwise it will no longer touch the floor.) I bought them mostly to give a little slope to the bed to help prevent fluid buildup on Dad's lungs from his congestive heart failure. I was afraid that the slope might be too steep to be comfortable for both Mom and Dad, but it's actually fairly mild. As a side benefit, it's easier for Dad to get out of bed, with the middle raised about 2.5 inches. At first Mom didn't like it, because her feet no longer touched the floor when she sat in the middle of the edge of the bed. But then I showed her that if she slides down toward the foot end of the bed, she can choose whatever height she wants to get up from. Now she likes it. I'm glad that I found these, instead of raising up all four legs of the bed, as is done with the other risers on the market.

Bed is so far from wall!
I liked this product but could not continue to use it because, due to the cone shape, it pushes the bed about 6 inches away from the wall. And they were so tall for my 8 inch high bed that it made my bedroom look ridiculous.

5" lifts for a bed.
These will raise your bed so that your head is higher than your feet on a gentle slant. Helpful if you have breathing problems or acid reflux problems. Unless you have someone strong enough to actually lift the head end of the bed, you'll have to remove the mattress and box spring so that you can put these under the support legs. There are also a set of rubber discs included that you can place under the other legs of the bed. Note however that once you have these in place, you can't move the bed on its wheels as perhaps you did before. Not without going through the entire procedure of taking the bed off the lifts and then putting it back on.The lifts come fastened together and you have to cut the plastic fasteners to separate the lifts from each other. The fasteners are "stronger" than they need to be in my opinion and it took a sharp knife to cut through them.

Might be a bit too high for us.
As an early Baby Boomer, I am beginning to be bothered by acid reflux if I'm not careful what I eat/drink shortly before bedtime. These risers have helped a lot and sharply decreased the times I've had to go to sleep sitting up. The only problem is that the wife and I tend to slide to the foot of the bed by morning! I think I'll try some 3 inch models, instead.

Our Occupational Therapist thought these were too flimsy
We replaced these with box lifts that are much more stable.

Perfect for inclined bed therapy
I bought these to try out inclined bed therapy, for which they recommend raising the headboard by 5-7 inches, so those were a perfect fit. I've been sleeping on them for two months and they're quite sturdy. Throwing in the "floor protectors" is a nice touch too!
