Double-handle Dog Leash

The main things you want in a leash is utility and longevity. This leash has both. It is an ideal length and has a handle to keep your dog close if the need arises. It will also last long because it is fully braided and has no stitching, rivets, etc. to wear out. Save your money and buy one of these leashes. Update 11/5/21: I have now had this leash for over two years. It is as new as the day I got it except the light wearing down on the leash edges. And this is a nice feature because it feels smooth and buttery when you handle it! It’s like the feel of an expensive pair of leather gloves. Also, a major difference between leather vs. nylon leashes is when your dog bolts/lunges, the nylon leash will run through your hands and cause painful friction burns. No such issue with leather leashes which is why military and security dog teams use leather leashes. I have had no quality issues because it is braided so there is nowhere for it to come apart. This leash will easily last 10+ years. In a world where you commonly get less than what you pay for and expect, this leash fully satisfies in every way!

This is an excellent leash. Four years ago, I purchased two for walking two large dogs (Golden Retrievers). I needed a strong and sturdy leash for my then-exuberant young pup. I appreciated the ability to grab the leash close to the hook (see the hidden handle in the leash) when she saw a friend and was seconds away from a joy-filled burst of energy. What a great idea to have a second hand-hold on the leash! This leash did the trick for other reasons as well. It stood up to all sorts of weather, and situations where my dogs wanted to bolt (squirrel!). The color did not bleed, and the leather softened over time. Four years later, I am back for two more--not because the first ones are worn out, but to have a spare pair of leashes in case I am walking in muddy or wet conditions, as I often walk twice a day and this will give the wet or muddy leash time to dry. I also purchased two additional harnesses for this reason. Highly recommended! (I received nothing for this review--just truly value this product.)

I can't believe this leash is as affordable as it is! It looks and feels so high end! Very soft and comfortable in your hand. Perfect length, not too long and not too short. The second handle comes on handy if you need your dog close. I've had this leash almost 2 years now and it's still on amazing condition! Highly recommend!

The Wellbro Leather Double Handle Dog Leash has been a reliable leash in our dog-walking routine for almost two years, and it has both its positive features and a couple of considerations. One of the standout features is the double handle design, providing excellent control, especially when a handle close to the dog's collar is needed. The leather construction is super durable, and after two years of use, it's holding up exceptionally well. The leather gets softer over time for sure, it does need to be broken in and I recommend doing this with a bowl of warm water and bending the leash back and forth along the entire length. The braid halfway through the leash is a thoughtful addition, offering a convenient spot for added leverage when needed. The clip is user-friendly, operating smoothly without requiring a ton of grip strength. However, the thickness of the leash is a bit of a double-edged sword. While my husband appreciates the substantial feel in his hand, I find it a tad too thick for my liking, particularly with my smaller hands. It's a personal preference, and it would be fantastic if the leash came in different thickness options to cater to a variety of preferences.

I've had the same two nylon dog leashes for 30 years and they have held up well but they're looking rather shabby. With the recent rescue of a new-old dog, it was a good time to get a nice leather leash to match the collar she came with - the reviews and description on this didn't let me down. This leash is top quality, beautifully made, and is nice soft, pliable braided leather. My new pup doesn't pull on the leash but I find this handles her nicely. Just as well, my old boy is 125 lbs and a terrible tugger yet this withstands everything he manages to yank on it with; whether that's his teeth or his full body weight, this leash is holding up excellently. I would absolutely buy another and will.

This is a great and SOLID leash! We have a 90lb GSD/Lab and this is a very sturdy and strong leash. We actually own 2 now. The leather is soft and very comfortable in your hand.

This leash is durable and made of good leather. The extra loop handle is ideal for keeping the dog close when needed.

First bought one of these in Feb 2019. It's a great leash, was made in the US, and I'm still using it daily. For a second dog I've now bought another, which looks like the old one, except there are no details of the type of leather or the tanning process used, and it's now made in China. See sticker on the back of the box. Time will tell if it's the same quality as the original. (Will update this review when I've used the new one a few months.)

Don’t waste your money. Used this leash 2x and has nearly split in half. For leather, not at all strong or durable.
