I had some initial concerns whether this little engine would be suitable for carpet running on Bachmann track because it has only two driving wheels. It was not clear if it would be able to exert sufficient traction to pull three Emily passenger cars. I needn't have worried. This little guy pulls smoothly and without hesitation throughout the track and through track switches (turnouts). It could probably handles a couple more cars on level track. As a bonus, its bright green color with gold and red decoration makes for a very charming locomotive. One problem developed was that the tender is too light and was inclined to derail on curves; but was easily corrected by adding two US quarter coins (I am sure other nations's denominations would work equally well) to the existing weight already inside the tender. Two very small screws on the underside of the tender released the body for adding the coin weights, glue dots holding them firmly in place. Have fun with this guy; its a charmer.

My grandson was thrilled with this engine. The colors and detail of design were amazing. So pleased.

Great addition to the Thomas HO set just a bit pricey, check for discounts on Amazon Prime. Sent with care, arrived in perfect conditions.

I am not a fan of these trains, but they are made from real trains. What I did was removed the face, and replaced it with a boiler door. Put on working lamps, like the prototype, and installed a DCC decoder with sound. Brought it to the club, and one of the club members offered to buy it. It's not finished, but the Thomas and Friends trains offers a good base to make the trains you can't buy. I'll be doing this again.
