Q: Is this the c* version

The Concept line of mouthpieces only come in one tip opening size: the S80 C* soprano mouthpiece tip opening is 1.10 mm and the Concept mouthpiece is slightly smaller at 1.06 mm

Q: The c* is considered for beginners and this concept mpc has a smaller tip. what makes it sound warmer? what ligature & cap fit on this? tks

I can only answer the question about the ligature. I use a Rovner for hard rubber, soprano sax mouthpieces. Careful, because the Rovner has one that is supposed to be used for metal, but the one I use is for plastic or hard rubber mpc. I think that this mouthpiece is made for playing classical but I like the sound and it's easy to use. I use a Legere 2.5 reed, a 2.25 will also play well. I just bought a Jodyjazz HR 5 mouthpiece and that's considered to be more for jazz. I only just got it so I can't write too much about it but it feels really good so far.
