Carstens Plain Chocolate Covered Marzipan Bar 75 g (Pack of 5)

I am so pleased that I found these as they are close to being as good as Niederegger which are much pricier. They aren't cheap so watch the price go up and down!The marzipan is definitely Lubeck - the best out there. The only niggle is that the chocolate crumbles off. I would prefer just the marzipan loaf anyway so use the chocolate that falls off in baking.

Lubeck marzipan is used by Carstens inside their 200gm chocolate covered marzipan loaf.Simply the best in the World! The chocolate MUST be plain to avoid contamination of the fine almond paste by milk.

I'd hoped to like these better than I did as they're lower in sugar than the other brand I tried. Unfortunately I didn't like the texture and flavour so won't be buying again.

Tastes good, but the price of the 75 gr. bars is a rip-off. Go for 200 gr. bars or do some research to get decent value for your money.I found the same quality from another manufacturer with almost half price.
