Teatime Parties Around the World: Globally Inspired Teatime Celebrations

I love seeing the different tea cultures and flavors. I really love the recipes and education for each country.

I enjoy reading about some of the places I've visited and the recipes they offer. The tablescapes inspire me as well.

Over all I liked this book. I have a tea party every week so I was interested to discover new ideas. Some were variations on recipes I love like malva pudding and Anzacs. I have never considered serving split pea soup, borscht or lamb stew for tea and am never likely to. I don’t understand why they were included. The photography was beautiful and the recipe directions were detailed. As to the complaints about unusual ingredients, many can be bought on Amazon, like muscovado sugar (yummy!).

My daughter belongs to a tea group and is very excited to wow her guests with wonderful ideas, recipes and table setting ideas.

Love the recipes and photos of the foods and table settings. The articles were very interesting as well. I have it as a four star rating because of the printing and photos could have been deeper in color tone. They were too light looking.

This book is going back. It's a rather thin book to start and the photos are pretty. The big problem is that there are no references on where to get all the teas that they mention and most of them I never heard of but would like to try. The recipes are ok, nothing special and use ingredients most people don't have, so won't be making them. They give references on where to buy the tablecloths and other table things but not the tea. There are a few pages each on different countries, which I thought would be interesting but weren't. Really disappointed in this book. You can get better recipes on the internet.

This is the second such book I have purchased. I don’t like this one as much because of the unusual ingredients needed. Perhaps I should have anticipated this since it is Teatime Parties Around the World.
