Timberland Women's Wheelwright Tall Medium Shaft WP Engineer Boot

I like these boots. They definitely hold their shape and are a bit softer than I expected. My calves are on the 'larger' side (~14.5") as I run, but these definitely have room left for a finger or 2 to fit in between boot and calf. They're not extremely 'feminine' if that's what you're looking for. I have more expensive 'feminine' boots, and I only wear them on nicer occasions. I wanted these to just kick around in, in the fall/winter. Some boots to throw on with jeans and go out and do errands or to the park, and not have to worry about 'messing them up'. Lol. These are perfect for that. If you are in a barn environment, these would be PERFECT. I also like the vintage feel, with the imperfections in the leather. These do not have a strong odor of any type. In fact, I wish they had that pleasurable 'leather' scent that some boots have. I am posting a picture of me wearing them. Oh, I did size up a half size. I read the reviews about the shoes being a bit large and ordered a size 7. I usually wear a 6.5. The boots are a bit tight, but they are leather and with wear will conform and stretch to my feet. I'm super stoked that I found leather boots like this. All you seem to find these days is faux leather. The boots are super well made and sturdy.The only "issue" and the reason I gave it a four star is the boot around the ankle is a bit loose and bows outward. It's only on one side. But leather boots aren't perfect like faux and as I stated just need some breaking in. Still debating keeping them due to the ankle, but I probably will keep them. I do love them!Update: I wore them for the first time today, and they are officially my favorite footwear! They were a tad tight but by the end of the day had loosened up. Also the weather had been extremely cold, my lower legs and feet were warm all day and protected from the elements I'm looking forward to my next pair of boots from this company!

For this winter/fall I decided no ordinary, faux leather riding boot would do. I wanted something utilitarian, sturdy, and of course, devastatingly great looking. Fall/winter riding boots are a staple of my wardrobe, as they look great with damn near anything, so these boots had to be perfect in every way.Ladies and gentlemen, look no further.The construction of the boot is careful and genius; the soles have a hiking boot style grip to them unlike any other flat-soled winter boots i’ve seen, the zipper is waterproof, the leather is stiff enough that even after wearing it every day for months, they still stand up straight as a board, no magazines necessary. In my husband’s words, they’re the type of boots you’d see an adventurer wearing in an RPG game, and I can attest. For those with thicker calves, there’s a slit in the side to allow for the boot to expand a little bit, and makes them more comfortable over all.I can’t rate these boots highly enough. If you’re desperately searching for those holy grail winter boots that will not only save you during snow and rain but also look impeccable while doing it, the boots you can go tromping in the woods in without fear, than look no further. I hope I can get many years of wear out of these bad boys.

When I first pulled the boots out of the box--- I was skeptical. They were too tall, too stiff, and I was sad. So, I put them on and thought I'd try them out around the house for 5 minutes. Not bad! 10 Minutes- these feel pretty good! 1 hour later- these boots are awesome! I wore them to work the next day and absolutely fell in love. They are warm but not too warm indoors. They have a great sole that actually has fraction in the snow and ice! I get lots of compliments on them. It's been a month and I am so happy with these boots! My go-to favorites!

Had to take a star off for sizing; I am a 10, have been for many years and they are definitely making boots smaller. 10 was too small even accounting for break-in, so I got the 11s. I have to wear thick socks with them plus the thick lining, so they really are for cold weather only. I resigned to this because it was so difficult finding an engineer boot that looked right and was true to size, even if I was willing to spend more. Other than the size issue they are great, very comfortable, yes waterproof, and look awesome.

I do love these boots but as other reviewers have mentioned they are a bit stiff. I am still breaking them in by wearing them a few hours here and there. I am hoping they will stretch out just a little or become more flexible. They are nice looking and sturdy and comfortable, just a bit tight and stiff until they loosen up. They have a good sole for walking outdoors in bad weather. High quality boot. I wear a size 8 and ordered a size 8 which fit fine, just a bit tight at first, but loosening up the more I wear them.

Only wore them around house so far and they seem quite comfortable. There is some roomminess in the calf which is what I wanted. If you have small calves you may not like this. Mine are not large but medium. I like the rugged look of these boots!! They are suede and leather so I plan to apply an appropriate water sealer to them to protect the materials. I have known of this brand for decades and like the quality! The heel height is perfect for me -adds a little height without falling off them!

I've had these boots for at least a month now and wear them all the time! I completely love them. They have a nice tread and I never slip. The boots run a little small. I wear size 8 and that is the size I ordered; one of my feet is closer to size 7.5 and one is closer to size 8, the size 8 pair that I ordered are a really happy medium for me. Perfect on the 7.5 foot and a little snug on the 8. The zipper is cool, waterproof but sometimes I need to unzip and zip over a few areas to make it lie flat. The zipper feels really solid and like it will hold up even though I have to do that sometimes. They are so far easy to clean (I work in a pottery dust environment often). Super comfortable to walk around all day in, but I did get blisters after running in them really far (late for a class...). I get compliments almost every time I wear these!!

Good quality boots, they fit very well and are waterproof. I wore them all day and found them really comfortable. Would recommend if you work outside.
