Keter Louvre Utility Cabinet

I purchased this cabinet to use in my garage as additional storage and I couldn’t be more pleased with the cabinet. It was very easy to assemble with clear instructions. The quality of the cabinet is really good and is very strong and not in anyway flimsy as I was expecting. The shelves are very strong and are capable of holding a decent weight, I have put a pack of 32 bottles of water on one of the shelves and it supported the weight with no problems. I highy recommend this cabinet for all types of storage and it can also be used outdoors as the seals that join the panels look to be water tight.

I looked at a few plastic cabinets from high street and retail park sellers but was disappointed with the quality. Although the Keter is more expensive than the competition it is far more robust and well designed. It is easy to put together and the shelves, which are good and strong, add to its rigidity, like most plastic cabinets it can flex causing problems with door closing so it is best suited to a firm, level base. There are holes in the back panels to fix it to a wall and blanking plugs for the unused holes within the cabinet. We have had some very heavy rain since I bought it and so far the interior has stayed dry.UPDATE: I am updating the information about the cabinet being weatherproof. After re-positioning the cabinet to a more exposed position I discovered that it does indeed let rain in, there are no drainage holes in the base so it was full of water. I drilled some very small holes to allow it to drain and re-positioned a shelf to hold items above the base only losing about an inch or so of height. I think however that it is unsuitable for storing larger electrical items like a lawnmower or leafblower. I have revised it down to four stars because of this.

The cabinet arrived well packaged. The instructions were easy to follow and it took two of us about 20 minutes to put together. The pieces clicked into place nicely and no tools are needed. It looks smart and the four shelves hold loads. I have it in the garage for extra storage so can't comment on whether it would be waterproof. Keter have a useful website where you can get any spare parts you might need in the future.

OK when assembled but easily damaged during assembly. individual panels very fragile.instructions hopeless - basically make it up as you go along

Excellent delivery and no bits broken, which did concern me. It is a bit flimsy and it is easy to break putting it together, so be gentle. For the money it does the job well in my garage. The only way I would define it as waterproof is because it's plastic and can't rot. It will never be watertight.

Bought this item as we have had another Keter product that we use in the Garden.The unit is sturdy enough, however I was initially confused once constructed as there are lots of holes in the back panel, which doesn't bode well for something that's meant to be weatherproof. I duly taped these up with fabric tape. After being outside for 2 days and after some mild rain, the bottom has pooled with water. Not that impressed really, but if you have stuff that can resist a bit of damp that you want to store then this is probably right for you.

Not loved for the job I bought it for, but for Keter's design and structure for what it was intended. Sent complaint by email, but no response. Will keep cupboard for indoor use eventually, which wasn't planned for some time because of cost. Have been forced to spend more money to get the correct product, in brown but also by Keter and from Tesco who do advertise the products they sell correctly. Advertised as all weather on company's website, but Keter instructions say Indoor Use. This is not Amazon's fault, but is the fault of the company falsely selling products through Amazon because of incorrect information on their website. No wonder it isn't water tight and definitely not meant for all weather use, but is an excellent cabinet for indoor use. False claims by company advertising product, not fault of Keter. Trading standards should be investigating the company selling it for misrepresentation. I would have thought it was in the interests of the company to reply to my compliant.

We are very happy with this cabinet. It was easy to assemble and sturdy enough for the wellies and bits and pieces of dog walking paraphernalia and gardening stuff we needed it to contain. It is housed in a covered area in our garden so I can't speak for its waterproof properties. It does the job we wanted it to do and would certainly recommend it.
