Thanks for your question- a one ounce jar is designed to last one person 3 months brushing twice a day when used as directed. This toothpowder is 100% active ingredients and very easy to use- and you need a lot less than you think! We suggest wetting your toothbrush and applying a dusting of the powder to the top 2/3 of the brush. No need for heaps- and many like to just dip their toothbrush in the powder. What sticks to the brush is all you need. Then, just brush as usual. Spit and rinse if you want- and don't forget to smile at those amazingly clean teeth!

The best way I've found to use a tooth powder is to put a small amount in the palm of your hand, thoroughly wet your toothbrush and run it through the little pile. You can brush for a while and then go back and brush off any remaining powder in your hand and continue brushing. Works great and no contamination.

Q: The standard powder claims to whiten but has anyone found thr charcoal powder to be better?

Since there is Baking Soda in both toothpowder's they can help whiten. The Charcoal in the Black formula can help pull more toxins and whiten more!
