Got me a pack of these bad boys on the advice of a mentor. Boy, was I glad I did. I had a FIELD DAY with these suckers the first time I tried them! It was early spring and the weather was pretty sunny. Water pretty clear for this part of the country (South Louisiana). I ended up boating 19 nice bass and one crappie over the course of about 2 and 1/2 hours. I was able to catch about 10 bass over the course of about and hour and a half about 2 weeks later. As the weather has gotten warmer, though, the fish seem to have lost their appetite for these, but, still, if fished at the right time of the year in the right conditions, you can tear the fish up with these. I will never go fishing again without these in my tackle box.

Throw it over lily pads or some type of plant foliage Texas rigged for lots of fun. Might not be the best for open waters but I think for top water in weeds this is probably the best thing you can through. hooked properly (I’ve been using a 5/0 (4/0 might be better but it don’t matter) offset hook, the thinner the better) you’ll rarely snag and easily hook 90% of bass that bite.

Got these for my fiancé for our anniversary. Awesome bait! We caught 3 bass (2-3lbs) within 20 minutes and had another on the line. Small lake in north Florida, my luck is the worst, and fishing is typically poor in terms of many catches, but this bait brought the bites! Could be season, weather, who knows?? Best bait I’ve had luck with so far!
