Finally a great gas can!
I, like most, have been dealing with crap plastic gas cans for years, and somehow they've only become worse! Leaky, tippy, and the so-called safety spouts are anything but safe! The NATO Jerry can is solid, incredibly well made, and shipped beautifully. Thank you CampingMaxx for a great product and perfect service! It's a refreshing change! I'll buy one for diesel now too!

CampMaxx is the Real Deal.
I called the crew at CampMaxx to discuss this purchase and was way more than excited to get one of the 3 owners on the phone immediately. These guys are GREAT! These fuel cans are the only way to store fuel safely. CampMaxx is the ONLY place to get the real ones!

Incredible Gas Cans
I have had a few of these Wavian gas cans for about a year. Best cans I have ever used. Wish I had bought them years ago. These cans will way out last me. (Done with plastic cans) You can fill them when it is cold outside and place them in a warmer environment which results in an increase of internal pressures and there is absolutely zero fumes released. Just remember to open the lid slowly or you will have a face covered in gasoline. Same goes when you fill them in a warm climate and store them in a cooler environment, the cans sides will slightly cave in under a negative pressure and when opened will spring out and back in creating a shot of fuel out of the filler neck.I just received my recent order of these same cans and they are the same quality as the first order. I wished I had ordered them sooner as the prices are rising.

Top Quality
I've been using surplus Jerry cans for a couple of decades. None of my surplus cans are as nice as this Wavian NATO can.Surplus cans are available for substantially less money than this NATO can, but they are often beat up, dented, and sometimes rusty inside and out. This can, however, is pristine when it's delivered. It's also well built, with a proper, recessed welded seam all the way around. Some of the cheaper cans do not have a recessed seam and will wobble when placed on a flat surface. That type will also wear right along the weld on the bottom, although probably not enough to cause a leak. This NATO can has a couple of minor features that the surplus cans do not. One is the pin that secures the latch for the cap. My surplus cans don't even have the holes that would provide for a pin. I haven't found that my surplus cans open on their own, but having the pin there is a nice bit of added security, especially if you are careless in handling the can.The other, admittedly minor, feature is this NATO can has the two holes already drilled to allow for the attachment of the clip for the spout. There are several spouts available that will fit this can and some come with the clip hardware. This can makes it a bit easier to attach that clip.NOTE: This can does NOT come with a spout. I consider that to be a good thing for a couple of reasons. First, if I buy several cans I do not necessarily need several spouts. And second, and more important, I do not have to buy the stupid CARB-approved spout that comes with many of the other Wavian NATO cans. I can get one that does not require me to contort myself in order to fill a lawn mower or other tank.If you are buying just a single can and/or if you want the best and are willing to pay whatever it costs, this is the can for you.

Heaven sent!
Nov 2019 just purchased my 6th can, I see some folks are receiving the cheaper knockoffs so I wanted to update... so far I've purchased half a dozen of these cans ( just one at a time every few months) and each time I've gotten a true Wavan fuel can. Each time " Proper Spec " was the vendor.. hope this helps, I'm still loving these fuel cans!I needed something for transporting Gasoline out to the hobby farm for the Farmall, quads, the mower, snowmobile ect, these cans really are the best option! I don’t use enough fuel to warrant having a on site fuel tank, that would need to be filled by tanker. And I didn’t want to give up the bed of my truck for a transfer tank. at 5 gallons each they will still be light enough for me to handle the weight of them as I get older, I don’t See those plastic jugs last the rest of my life and they sure don’t stop the fuel from creating fumes and evaporating away, these Jerry can just work the best!

Solid build-not from China. I highly recommend. Works great with the Wavian long-nose flexible spout
Not from China, as described. Mine was made in Latvia, I think. Jerry can was delivered in under 48 hours (shipped from PA and I'm in VA). Already has red sealant sprayed inside. Same build quality as an identical Wavian Jerry can I bought from another seller for $20 more. This one did not come with a spout or the plastic spout holder. Picture shows plastic spout holder installed but mine didn't have one and I wasn't expecting it (although it does have the screw-holes in place where you would install the holder). You will need to buy a spout (if you don't have one already). This works great with the Wavian long-nose flexible NATO Jerry can spout/nozzle, which I bought separately. With the lid sealed up tight, I didn't smell any gas odor in my car on the drive home from the gas station.

Everyone needs to own jerry can!
The shipping was blazing fast, like several days ahead of schedule fast! Would highly recommend the seller.Great product, you get what you pay for. You can save money by getting a cheaper version elsewhere but I’ve found that these wavian cans are the best built & by far the fastest to empty. Especially compared to the regulated plastic cans.Get the nozzle connector with it and you’re set for life. Will be buying several more in the future.

Long Term Gasoline Storage
I live in South Florida . . . hurricane alley. Whenever there is so much as an inkling of a storm, all the gas stations dry up faster than water in a desert. I keep a few of these filled with gas just in case. You've got to get a separate nozel (they're modular, if you're unfamiliar) but they lock down tight. The longest I've kept gas (with preserve added) is 2 years and when I used it, there were absolutely no issues. If you're storing gasoline for an emergency, this is what you're looking for. Spend the extra money and do it right.
