portable bug zapper and speaker combo
This is a bug zapper that is cordless so it can be moved around or taken on trips where power might not be available. It is interesting that it also is a Bluetooth speaker and you can connect it to your phone or tablet to play music. The light as a bug attractant seems to work pretty well, except for mosquitoes which don't seem to be attracted to this wavelength of light. The metal grid that zaps the bugs is pretty effective and seems to get the job done. The only thing that I would like to have seen is a way to determine how much power is left in the battery. It would seem to be a simple thing to do, either as a gauge on the body of the bug zapper, or an app since it already has Bluetooth connectivity, I would think it would be pretty easy to get the data sent to your phone.

Not sure about this
It works just fine as a bug zapper. But the base illuminates (but it's not a flashlight) and it has a single bluetooth speaker facing upward in the top. It's a weird combination. The speaker works fine but being a single speaker it's not great for listening to music. If camping without an easy way to charge it I'm not sure if you would want to drain the battery. The light in the base is pretty much the same. It's not enough light to make much of a difference unless it's a really dark night. The light is inside the white plastic so some of the light is lost right there. To use either you will most likely want to leave it plugged in. As for using it. There's not much to tell you how to use the speaker in the directions but it's very simple. Push the bluetooth button and its name will pop up when you search for available bluetooth devices. Push the middle button and the bug zapper turns on. Push the bottom button and the base lights up. To charge it pop off the sealing cap to access the USB C port. I got it for the Asian ladybug problem I have this time of year. Around here in late winter they appear inside people's houses and collect on windows. It's a bit late in the season for them but after a couple days of 'on' time I've killed a number of them and I have yet to see any on the windows they seem to flock to. It does come with a small brush to reach inside the outer cage to brush off the dead bodies. It would be nice if it had a way to hold the brush when not in use so it doesn't get lost.

A must have for camping!
This big zapper is absolutely game changing for camping! It really attracts them in with its light so make sure you set it away from you. As long as you do that though the bugs will swarm this and leave you alone! We set this out at a pretty remote campsite and it was actually kind of disturbing how many bugs it caught. The Bluetooth feature is a huge plus as well! While it was zapping bugs, we also got to enjoy music while out grilling! The speaker quality is pretty poor. It’s tinny and quiet even at full volume, but at a quiet campground that’s really not a deal breaker. The machine is lightweight and easy to transport and hang wherever you need it. I’m super happy with this little zapper!

disappointed
Great concept but less than half of the light works... most of the space is not lit. ordered 2 and one lights up 20% of the surrounding perimeter and the other 40%... reached out to company and no response...

Works a lot better than I expected
I was a bit skeptical about this when I first got it; I didn't expect much but we brought it on a back country camping trip in the PNW- and it DELIVERED! I wanted to test out how long it would last on one charge, and it lasted the entire 4 day 3 night trip without issue. The purple glow is a fun ambiance around the campsite, family members who camped with us were diggin the light it gave off and it felt a little like a party light (lol). Upon opening the box, I charged it fully- once. We tested the speaker system on it (surprise if you didn't know it could also link to your phone) andddd the speaker is not great. It works, but it was one of those 'this would be fine if we didnt have any other speaker to use' type thing. So not great, but it works. For the water-proof-ability, eh it sprinkled for a minute there, but for the most part it was clear skies. No issues with a few rain droplets getting onto the bug zapper. The bottom of the zapper has a pretty bright light with a few modes on it- that was kind of nice, especially when hanging from a tree. I did like that extra feature! The size is pretty good for car camping. If you are packing in, it's too big. But its very light, I didnt weight it but I would say maybe a lb or two in weight - tops. The light is nice and a purple-blue. Its not overbearingly bright so we had it in the center of our campsite by our chairs and it caused no issues in the dark being a super cyber purple (lol). The bugs really loved this thing, even the ants were getting to it somehow. The zapper is virtually silent - (or nearly so). When bugs got zapped by it, it was extremely quiet unless you leaned in to listen (sounds gruesome typing that lol). The image showed is our first night using it and the video I posted was the morning after the first night of use (we had it on for about 6 hours the first night). A few things of note: This works GREAT on smaller bugs. we got hundreds of mosquitos and a bunch of other similar sized bugs that we can't fully identify but were common at the campsite. However: anything over the wingspan of 1.5-2" had a hard time getting INTO the light, but boy did they try. Several moths were trying to enter the forbidden purple party dome and had a rough time due to the slots in the white plastic. I think the slots are so folks, kids, and pets dont get zapped by the current inside, but its almost worth removing that I think or modifying it in the design. Also, another thing of note: We are still unsure the best way to clean this device. There are no instructions for this, and we thought we could unscrew the top or bottom to pull the entire electrical core out to brush a broom over it to take out the dead bugs- but no. You can't open it. We are going to try to get some broom bristles in there to brush it out outside or take a air compressor and blow it out. Either way, I think it could be designed easier to clean. All in all, this saved us from a LOT of bugs that got pretty annoying at our campsite. I would not fully rely on this to get rid of all bugs unless you had like 3 or more surrounding your site (which honestly, would be pretty awesome and now I wanna do that) but I also had some citronella candles, and we ended up using some bug wipes too as we were by a body of water and the bugs were LOVING that their buffet had camped so close to them. In any case, this thing rocks. I am undoubtedly going to be using this moving forward for camping trips and our family members want one now too (in fact they are borrowing it right now while they are out camping too). Awesome device, exceeded expectations, brought cool purple party light fun to the campsite, long battery life, and helped mitigate our bug issue. Great find.

not effective for mosquitoes
I have SO much trouble with getting bitten by mosquitoes. I must be sweet and crunchy 😉. I was hoping this bug zapper would be an effective fix to help prevent the problem. The product comes with a charging cord that is USB to USB-C, but no charging block. I showed up at my friend’s 4th of July party with bug spray on, a “tennis wand” hand bug zapper, and this product. I held this light between my feet to protect my ankles and calves, the place most likely to be bitten. Despite my extreme efforts to prevent bug bites, I still ended up with 2 or 3 mosquito bites after the 1-hour long party. I checked the bottom of the tray when I got home. I effectively killed a few junebugs, but I did not see even one mosquito in the bottom of the tray. Hmm. Well, so much for that idea. Maybe I can use the product as a nightlight. It gives off a very pretty pink/purple glow. I don’t really need a Bluetooth speaker, so I didn’t even bother to figure out how that feature works.

Works great as a bug zapper
This device is an interesting blend of a bug zapper, Bluetooth speaker, and ambient light. At first, it seems like a strange combination, but it actually works pretty well if you understand its limitations. As a bug zapper, it’s effective for its size. I’ve seen dead bugs around the perimeter of the unit after running it for a while, so I know it’s doing its job. It comes with a small brush to help clean out the bug remains, though it would be helpful if there were a spot on the device to store the brush. The built-in Bluetooth speaker works fine for casual use. It’s not designed for booming sound, but it’s louder and clearer than a phone speaker and works well for camping or backyard hangs. Each function (zapper, light, speaker) is controlled by a separate button, and pairing with Bluetooth is simple. The base light adds some visibility but is very dim and more for ambiance than actual illumination. It’s best used in complete darkness, and even then, don’t expect it to replace a flashlight or lantern. It charges via USB-C, and the battery life is decent across functions, especially if you don’t run all features at once. The size is portable, and it can be hung with the included hook or mounted on a tripod using the bottom threaded mount. Overall, while it’s not the most powerful speaker or light, it’s a handy multifunctional tool for outdoor settings like patios, picnics, or camping trips.

It Glows, It Grooves—Now Let’s See If It Zaps
So far, the Aspectek Bug Zapper LED Light with Bluetooth Speaker (ASIN: B07CNJH34H) feels more like a quirky nightlight with a soundtrack than a full-blown insect assassin. But to be fair, it's been cold since it arrived, and the mosquitoes are probably curled up somewhere with tiny bug blankets. (I’m not complaining.) Still, the gadget has potential. The purple UV lights give off that classic “zap zone” glow, and there are three brightness levels for the white LEDs on the bottom—perfect for mood lighting, camp vibes, or illuminating that one mystery corner in the garage. The built-in Bluetooth speaker won’t blow you away, but it’s a step up from your phone speaker and just fine for podcasts or background tunes. You get a USB-C charging cable (hooray for modern ports), a tiny cleaning brush that may or may not be more symbolic than useful, and a twist-off top that... doesn’t seem to do anything in particular. But hey, twisty parts are fun. One weird note: the instructions and tag say “indoor use only,” while the product listing brags about indoor and outdoor use. Maybe it’s only outdoor if the bugs are invited over for a polite indoor dinner first? Anyway, I’ll update once the air warms up and the bugs come out swinging. For now, it’s a glowing, humming, maybe-eventually-zapping conversation piece. Fingers crossed it performs as well as it parties.
