It did finish cooking on time and shut off when the water was gone. The key is to use the right amount of water according to the type of eggs you want. If you want soft boiled and add too much water, it will keep coming until all the water is gone. Then you will have hard boiled. First attempt, 2 eggs slightly cracked, so I will use the puncture technique next time. Small and compact, making it versatile and portable. The overall design was cute and doesn't take up any space. It can be transported and used wherever you have power. It includes ideas for easy peeling, and it came right off using one of the methods.
