Rich and creamy yogurt
My sister gave me a yogurt maker last year and I finally found the time to try making yogurt for the first time. She had told me that the recipe she had used took 36 hours and I just never got around to a time in my schedule where I could dedicate 36 hours to yogurt making. This yogurt starter took only 8 hours to ferment and then 12 hours refrigeration time to set up (it was good in 10 hours) I did change the recipe using 1 quart half n half and 1 quart whole milk. Made it thicker. I think the boiling and cooling of the milk to the right temperature (not something you want to mess up on because milk that is too hot can destroy your cultures) was the most delicate and time consuming part of the process but patience paid off with a very successful first rendering of my yogurt making. I ordered extra jars for my yogurt maker and will be making more. My grandkids love yogurt, so now I can add their favorite fruits to it.

Best one I've tried
Went back to this one because after trying others I realized this starter gave the best results. Thick, creamy, balanced tartness. So far this is a winner for yogurt starters!

I followed the instructions on the packaging and made delicious yogurt. Plus, I understand that the L. Reuteri bacteria are beneficial to your gut garden.It did, however, produce a lot of whey/liquid, even after refrigeration, but that's easily taken care of and not much of a problem. Just use some cheesecloth and drain it for a few hours. Yum.Not only that, if you're very frugal and don't eat all of it in one shot, you can reserve about half-a-cup and make a whole new batch, using that as your starter.Either way, it's quite good.

Did not work for me. Bummer.
So many positive reviews, but my product was still liquid after fermenting 8 hours. I tried a batch with whole milk and a batch with half&half. Neither worked. I followed the instructions exactly. I tried to contact the seller for advice and got no reply after 2 days of waiting. (i find most sellers are eager to help, but not these guys). So I wasted my time, a gallon of milk, and money and I can’t return it.
