Highest quality, beautiful pattern
We shopped long and hard for new flatware. This set is outstanding. First of all, it is so beautiful. It's heavy, high-quality and goes with our dishes perfectly. (Which are also Villeroy & Boch). Washes with no spots in the dishwasher. Very very pleased with this set which will be used 3 times daily....yes, we cook and eat at home.

BEAUTIFUL!
These are absolutely gorgeous! I love, love, love them! I looked for a while, bought a set that I ended up I returning because they stayed all stain after dishwashing, then I decided to get this set and I am so very happy I did! I bought a second set to have when I have larger parties for dinner. It washes spotless in the dishwasher and the size of the utensils is perfect. The knife is serrated and that is a plus. Truly recommend this beautifully done set of utensils.

Well finished.
The flatware is well finished, meaning all sides are smooth as glass. This makes it easier to clean in the dishwasher. The soup spoons are as large as most serving spoons, so prepare to feel like you are a guest at a giant's banquet when using them. Otherwise, they are just fine. I like the included serving utilizes as well except for the teaspoon, which - especially when considering the size of the soup spoons - is tiny. I am sure it holds exactly one teaspoon and most others are larger. I guess it might help some people who are unaware of what a teaspoon is in size, but I prefer a larger spoon for my sugar bowl.

Rusting knives can't be overlooked - very disappointing and frustrating
Beautiful, heavy weight pieces with a classic, slightly feminine design.I have a lot of Villeroy and Boch items in my kitchen. My dish set is by Villeroy and Boch (Twist Alea) and I've loved them for many years. I moved recently and I couldn't find my silverware for over a month and it was driving me crazy! I got so tired and annoyed trying to have all my meals eating with plastic ware that I decided to buy myself a new set of flatware and I immediately thought that it would be wonderful to have Villeroy and Boch to kind of "match" my dishes. I did some research since there are many different qualities of stainless steel (18/10, 18/8 and 18/0) and I settled on the Villeroy and Boch "Mademoiselle" style for myself. When the set arrived I was delighted and so happy to have something that felt so good in the hand and was a really fine looking set of silverware to go with my dinnerware. The only small drawback I noticed was that the soup spoons were considerably larger than what we typically use here in the U.S. and that they would work better as serving spoons. I can't even get them in my mouth comfortably. So, one small issue but I still loved the set and was willing to overlook the extra-large spoon size.I've had the set about 3 months and the knives have been through the dishwasher a number of times now. I noticed that the cutting edges of the knives were starting to show some odd rusting and thought maybe the dishwasher had left some sort of residue on them. I tried wiping them off but to no avail. They are truly rusting along the edges and there is nothing I can do to get them looking pristine and silver again or to prevent them from getting worse. The spoons and forks are all fine, nothing negative to report. It's just the knives that seem to be poorly made. My old set of Oneida flatware (20+ years old) is holding up better than these 3 month old knives!I can't believe that Villeroy and Boch has turned over their flatware production to a plant in Indonesia that can't produce better quality knives with the Villeroy and Boch seal on them. I am quite disappointed and am not sure there is any recourse. I've had the set too long to return them but I can't really keep them if the knives are rusting. Not sure if I will just give them to Goodwill or throw them away. I can definitely say that you should look for the 18/10 quality stainless steel but perhaps reconsider purchasing Villeroy and Boch since their quality has diminished greatly since they've outsourced their work.

My second purchase!
My daughter just bought her first home. She has admired my Villeroy and Boch flatware since I purchased it on Amazon. So, I purchased the same for her and her husband and it’s waiting in my gift closet, for the holidays to get here. I love my set. Pretty, sturdy, and easy to keep clean. I’d give this set 10 stars if I could. Thank you.

Gorgeous! I Bought a 2nd set!
Beautiful, nice weight, especially the knives. I’ve been using them and washing in the dishwasher for a couple months and they look great. I’m very happy with the product and value and bought a second set to have service for 16.

These are beautiful!!
These are beautiful!!! They are incredibly sturdy, great to look at and feels so good and strong...and shine, oh man, don't hold them directly in the sunlight or you'll go blind!!!! In all seriousness, they are beautiful, I'm so glad we got them. The shininess is insane...I smile every time I open my drawer and see them, lol!
