Christmas Magic Painting Book

So very fun and relaxing!

LOVE these painting books by Usborne! I wish they made more than just two kinds because my daughter will paint in these for hours. I really like that the color looks so good on the page as opposed to the ones that are made using the dots of paint colors already on the page. The dots never really go away on those. With these you can't even really tell that they are paint with water pictures when they are complete!

Ordered this for our 3 year old for the holidays after she received a Magic Painting Book from the same publisher for her birthday. Lovely illustrations to paint with water. My daughter prefers to use a paintbrush, while my husband and I will use the special pen brush the book comes with, when we sit down to work on this book with her. The book also comes with a back flap to protect the other pages from water soaking through which is great!

This was a great way to introduce my 3 yr old grandson to painting gearing up for Christmas. Sitting side by side I showed him how to use the brush and water to make the Christmas storybook pages come alive like magic. He loved it!

I purchased this book for a loved one who has dementia. Some pages have lots of area to paint and this helped keep my person engaged, but there are a number of pages where color will not appear in certain areas and this proved to be very frustrating. It's also easy for pages to get too wet and bleed through the back. I think this book would be best of early and mid-stage dementia patients.
