Is this brown rice as described or white rice as pictured?

My package described the contents as whole grain brown rice and whole grain brown rice is what it contained. Brown rice isn’t necessarily dark in color. White rice has been processed to remove the germ of the rice grain, is less nutritious and cooks in a shorter time than whole grain brown rice.

Where does it state on the bag it is parboiled? I didn't want parboiled.

Hello sorry But uncle bens rice is parboiled rice that's what make the rice easy to cook and do not gum up this is the only rice i eat . you need to get a cheap rice they are not parboiled.

Is Uncle Bens original whole grain rice organic or even gmo free. Nothing on packaging or website suggests it is?

I do not believe it is either. I'd suggest checking the package immediately as the one I received had puncture holes in it and loose rice in the packaging.

Tastes very good & healthier

Great taste & texture. Easy to clean pot. Lower glycemic index than white rice (50 vs 72) and more fiber (3-4 grams vs 1 gram). Not a sticky nor starchy rice, but great with so many dishes (pineapple chicken, pepper steak, curried chicken, etc). Same cooking time as white rice. No noticeable difference in aroma. Recommend highly

Good brown rice that can be hard to find in stores

I cook this in a basic $20 rice cooker. Taste great with a little lemon pepper seasoning. One bag lasts over a month so you get a lot for the money.
