Mebco Double Dipped Detangler Large MPRO100 - Blue

I love this comb (Mebco Double Dipped Detangler Large MPRO100). I bought one many years ago just like it and never found another until now. I originally got it to use on my wet hair, but found it worked so well that it's the only comb I use, regardless if my hair is wet or dry. It's that comfortable and that good at removing tangles pain-free and without ripping out any hair. (I have long, medium-thick, wavy hair.) I’ve had this comb for at least 15 years. It’s held up perfectly except some of the “double dipping” has worn away.A few months ago my cat decided she wanted to try it...and she fell in love with it...which is a huge deal because she has very long fur and hates being groomed. I usually have to get her clipped every Spring because she develops bad mats. I don’t know if this comb will prevent that, but her coat is already so much better than it usually would be at this point.I wasn’t crazy about sharing my beloved comb with my equally-beloved cat, so I searched again and found it here on Amazon. These combs are identical to the one I have except they’re made in China instead of the US. I ordered a bunch in one color from MayaBeauty and I got exactly what I ordered (at least one person mentioned she received the wrong color). My cat is keeping the old comb and I'm using the new ones.I’m sure this comb is not for everyone; there’s so many different types of hair. But it’s been my favorite comb for years and I whole-heartedly recommend it!

Very happy so far...they do not seem to be made as good as they use to be, but what nowadays is. They have held up so far, and this from a person who has broken a LOT of combs in the past few years. My original Mebco which I purchased almost 20 years ago, had to be replaced because I accidentally broke on of the teeth. That was after almost 20 years of use.... and since then, I have bought over 30 combs and none would last more than 1 or 2 uses, before snapping. So far these Mebco I purchased last month have survived....and like I mentioned, though they do not feel as sturdy as my original one, they are still intact.

This style of Detangler comb use to be very easy to find. In every pharmacy and department store. So I never imagined that it would be so difficult for me to replace one that lost teeth after being shut in a drawer, but it was.As someone with thick curly hair tangles happen. I find this comb is great at removing tangles from wet hair using a spray bottle. Especially if you use it to prevent tangles from happening, by combing it out while it is still wet from a shower it can be effortless taking minutes.My months without one were literally painful with over two feet of hair. I am glad to have mine again. I would highly recommend it to others.

I bought a similar comb many years ago. At that time, my hair was chemically relaxed. I wasn't really impressed with the way it performed when attempting to detangle my hair when wet, and eventually threw it away.I am now completely natural, and was inspired to re-purchase this detangling comb when the stylist who cut the relaxed ends from my hair used it to detangle the hair when dry and wet, and another stylist who detangled natural hair much longer than mine while wet.The Mebco Detangling Comb is well-made, and doesn't snag my hair while detangling. I've used the comb several times on wet hair. While it detangles effectively, I seem to shed more hair in comparison to when I use my wide-tooth detangling comb. Perhaps that is the point: To remove shed hair.I will continue to use the Mebco Detangling Comb, but, I cannot say at this point that it is a favorite detangling comb at this point.

This comb actually does detangle your hair! I use it every day after the shower and it works better than my wide-toothed comb at getting out the tangles. However, unfortunately, it does seem to pull out a lot more of my hair than my wide-toothed does. I don't mind it really, though, because I have pretty thick hair and a person supposedly loses about 100 follicles just throughout the day. So, I would recommend this to any person who has thick or curly hair, but I would not recommend it to people who have thin hair or rarely have tangles.

I have used the white version of this detangler comb for decades on my long hair. It detangles and keeps my hair manageable. Well, my husband and I got married and Jim loved my comb so much he started taking it for himself all the time, and I realized I needed to get him his own. I was pleased as punch to find a blue one on here and got it. Great experience and he loves his new comb...and I love ALWAYS having mine when I need it.

Works well on granddaughter's tangled hair when she gets out of the pool. Used with either L'Oreal or Johnson and Johnson's hair detangler, this comb works very, very well at getting through the mess. I work the detangler through her hair with my fingers, let it set a minute, then begin combing at the ends of her strands. With her hair, it is a process, but we get the job done with no crying or anger. Oh for the days when swim caps were on-trend! There was much less tangled hair then!

I have had the small size comb in my purse and love using it. The older I get the thinner my hair gets so I have to be careful to not break my hair struggling with tangles. This larger size comb is fantastic and glides through my tangles when wet or dry. I would recommend this comb for anyone who struggles with tangles, not only for adults, but for those moms who have to fight with your daughters to comb out the snarls in their hair.
