Good Litter for Rabbits
For pet rabbits, it's a decent choice for three reasons.1. It's unscented -- a necessity for rabbits. Perfumes aggravate rabbits' nasal passages, which is especially bad for bunnies because they only breathe out of their noses. (And on a side-note: sometimes a strongly scented litter can also cause a bunny to avoid the litter box, too.) Despite being unscented, this litter doesn't stink. Of course, like any litter, it needs to be changed regularly. Each day or every other day is generally the guideline, depending on how many bunnies use it, size of the box, etc. I can't vouch for how it smells when used by cats. But with rabbits, I can say when used right, it absorbs well and has no odor issues.2. It's paper -- a proper material for rabbits. Different litter materials can be used for rabbits other than paper. Aspen is fine too, for example. However, some litter is deadly. Other wood-based litters, like pine or cedar, can cause serious health issues. One of the most common, clay, can cause deadly blockages when eaten and a rabbit will likely nibble on it. This is why Yesterday's News is a decent choice, because pelleted, non-clumping paper is one of the few safe options.3. It's not dusty. The paper pellets are firmly formed. This is important because, again, rabbits breathe through their noses. Imagine getting hit with dust when you sat on the toilet. That'd be uncomfortable, but if you COULDN'T breathe easily out of your mouth, then it'd be worse. Their noses are extra-sensitive, too. There's usually a little crumbled dust settled in the bottom of the litter bag, which is thrown out, but the amount is very small. The firmness of the pellets is a plus.On another, positive note, it's also a good product in that it's made out of recycled paper. I can't think of any negatives. The price here at the moment for a 30 lb bag -- $19.99 -- is even the same as at my local stores. Unless a place has a sale, then the litter's usually right at that price for that size bag. Sometimes I buy the litter online and sometimes I buy it locally. Due to this price match, if you would need to pay for shipping, then I suggest looking locally first to both save yourself some money and get it even faster. (And of course, if you like a local business, then it's probably best to support them.) However, if you're not in a rush to get the litter, don't want to run an extra errand, and your shipping is free, then getting it here's just fine.

very underrated litter!
When my wife brought in our cat (out of the blue) I went on a long research journey trying to find the best litter for her. It took me six months and lots of experimenting with different litter types before I settled in on this litter. I dont really know why more people are not using this since its far better than other litter types. Here I will explain why:1- No dust. I tried many clumping litters that claimed they had no dust, they all had dust.2- No tracking. This litter tracks less than any other litter. Maybe one or two pellets every time my cat uses it which is far better than tons of dust and little particles from clumping litters.3- No scent. This absorbs urine smell really well. Poop smell is something else though. But if you clean the litter every day and you pair this with the litter genie (found on amazon) or another method of storing the poop away in the proper way there wont be any smell.4- This litter forces you to clean and check the litter box everyday which is a good habit. It takes very little time but you can keep an eye on your cat's bathroom habits. I think this is a plus. Also I can see her poop and can make sure she is healthy and make sure she is getting enough water etc.5- It's really light! compare to the clumping litter this is super light.6- Good for the environment! The problem with this litter however is that you will have to learn how to deal with it. It's not as straightforward as the traditional litter and requires a bit more skill and attention. Here are some tips:1- Depending on how deep your cat likes to dig for covering her poop, you need the minimum amount of litter. So maybe 1-3 inches deep. For a single cat I throw all the litter our every once in two weeks and clean our the litter box and start again with fresh pellets (this is in addition to the daily poop scooping of course).2- There are disposable litter boxes that are super cheap (also found on amazon) that would go really well with this type of litter. The problem with me was that my cat likes a very large litter box and none of those disposable litter boxes were large enough.3- To know whether or not there is poop in the litter, I flatten the surface of the litter with the back of my scoop every time after I clean it. This way if she uses it she will dig and I know that the litter box has been used and then i check to see if its poop. If its poop i take the poop and flatter again, and if its just pee you just flatten it.4- cleaning the poop is the trickiest part. The pellets are dark and so is the poop. Also you dont want to smear the poop all over the pellets when you are digging for them. I use both a scoop and a thick rubber glove to find the poop. Also if you let it stay there for an hour or so it will be easier to take it out without making a mess. I think clearing out the poop without having to throw away good pellets is a skill that you will improve at as time goes by.5- I dont like to use a covered litter box for this type of litter. I like to see where she poops and I need to clear it out daily so its much easier to use a large open litter pan type.6- As I mentioned, you need to throw the entire litter content away and start new after a week or two depending on how many cats you have. The bottom pellets absorb the urine and disintegrate and over time the litter box loses its ability to retain urine. So you need to make sure you clear out the entire content as often as you need to (unlike clumping litter that some people just scoop and rarely clean out completely, here you have to do that). This might seem challenging but believe me, its worth it! better for the environment (made from recycled newspaper) , better for your cat (this is the litter vets recommend you use after surgery), better for YOU (less cleaning litter from the floor, and no dust). So please, give it a try! and if your cat doesnt like it make sure she has no other options, and over time they will get used to it.Also the sooner you get them started on this type of litter the easier the transition (add some of their old litter into this to get them interested).

Holy Grail
I cannot say enough good things about this litter. I was at my wits end trying to keep our house clean with two cats tracking litter everywhere 24/7. I’ve tried all the traditional brands that claim to be “low tracking” and none of them work. It’s actually comical that some boast to be low tracking when they were the worst tracking of all! Clay litter is heavy, dusty, smelly and the cats tracked it everywhere. No one likes the feeling of kitty litter stuck to the bottom of their feet. I was ready to pull my hair out! Then I found THIS magnificent product and my life changed forever. It doesn’t smell, it’s not dusty at all, the cats LOVE it - they think it’s great fun to dig around in. It’s not hard to remove the poops. Urine absorbs easily and there is ZERO smell. And the best part? Virtually no tracking whatsoever. I think I found 5 pellets on the floor outside our two top-entry boxes. This, my friends, is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
