Perfect monitor for programming.
I have been looking for a good monitor for programming that is clear but not too big or small. This monitor is perfect. 1440 at 125% windows scaling is amazingly clear and big enough where you are not straining your eyes. I also own the LG uk650 4k monitor and the words are just too small and scaling makes everything blurry. If you need a big monitor that isn't too large and has super clear text this is the one.

Great monitor, but no USB 3.0 as the description says
Monitor is great - bright, vibrant colors, crisp text. The bezel is razor thin, but the screen has a black band about 1/4" around the sides and top (but not bottom). Description says USB 3.0, but there's no USB on this thing. Audio is laughable, but you'll disable it like I did. The stand is pretty ugly, but I plan to mount it on an arm anyhow. I tried the "sharp text" setting, and it made the text anything but sharp, so not sure what that's about. No IPS bleed that bothers me. Set to 70hz without anything special. Zero dead pixels. Great deal for $275, and I've seen it lower, but I still bit.

Preaty good IPS panel
Nice picture but colour accuracy is not the best. Good monitor for its price.

Great for coding
This is the first monitor I am happy with for coding. The size and resolution is perfect for staring at code all day. Having an adjustable stand/tilt is awesome if you have the monitor on a stand already and want to stand up to work. (assuming you have a keyboard stand too)

Would be fine if not for the dead pixels (Edit: Returned and got a second one that was fine)
Came with >6 easy to find dead/stuck pixels, plus a dark spot underneath the glass. The monitor is otherwise perfectly fine. I have its sister, the XB271HU, as my primary monitor and got this as my secondary monitor. The XB271HU has a couple dead pixels too but wasn't as bad as this one, and not bad enough to make me want to return it.I've sent this back and intend to order another one. If it's better I'll add a star or two back. Fingers crossed.EDIT: Got a new one and it seems to be fine. Was a hassle but I know the problem isn't Acer-specific.

Value buy for a HDS monitor that can turn vertically
I like how I can turn this 90 degrees and be placed vertically! Good resolution and I like how the border is very narrow and it maximizes screen area.

Incredible value, seems some models have features removed later in manufacturing
I bought this monitor on newegg. Was on sale for ~$250. Couldn't belive the price/specs. 27 inch 1440p, IPS. Fantastic. Monitor arrived in perfect shape. No dead or defective pixels of any kind. The build quality is fine IMO. The stand in particular is quite good I think. It has a nice heft and solidity to it. Very easy to adjust height, tilt, and also allows you to flip the monitor to a vertical position. The base is quite large but it provides a very stable stand, no wiggle or anything. Picture quality is fantastic. I've applied the ICC profile from Acer and use the SRGB setting and everything looks great. I mainly use it for gaming with my PC and it works great for that. One thing I do find interesting is it seems Acer has changed/removed some features over the life of this model. I bought mine almost exactly a year ago. 9/2/2018. At the time Acer was advertising and listing 10 bit color as a feature, and mine dose have that (it's 8 bit + FRC). I personally can't tell much if any difference switching between 8 bpc and 10 but I won't complain about having the option. However at some point Acer stopped listing this as a feature of this monitor completely. Newer reviews on newegg have some people saying that they do not get 10 bit as a option with their GPU when using this monitor. More interesting IMO is that this model (at least early shipments) actually has support for variable refresh rate (AKA "FreeSync). It has a FreeSync range of 40-75 Hz. I was able to easily change this to 30-75 Hz using CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) app. Once Nvidia added support for FreeSync/VRR to their drivers I was able to enable it no problem. Works great. This was never a advertised feature in any way but once again newer reviews seem to indicate that currently shipping models no longer have this feature. I'm guessing it was accidently enabled in Firmware and disabled in later shipping models. Also 75 Hz support while never advertised is fully supported by mine out of the box. 10 bit mode is limited to 60 Hz but 8 bit over DisplayPort automatically gives a 75 Hz option in NV control panel and it works great. Once again I've seen some newer reviews where people claim that their monitor dose not offer 75 Hz and even "overclocking" it to 75 Hz won't work. So basically be cautious of what you find online about what this monitor dose and dose not do. 10 bit color dose next to nothing so I wouldn't worry about that. VRR/FreeSync is awesome to have but odds are it won't be supported if you buy one of these monitors now (seems limited to early run). And 75 Hz, that is more likely to still work or at least be achievable. Bottom line don't buy it if your COUNTING on 10 bit color depth, VRR/FreeSync support, or 75 Hz support because it seems to be pure luck if you will get those on currently shipping ones. Still a great monitor though with fantastic picture quality, but if you got lucky and got one with all of those features I talked about you REALLY got a great deal :)

Works well with MacBook Pro as a graphic designer!
In the picture, this monitor is on the left. I use it as my primary monitor as a graphic designer. Color is a little saturated and warm even with trying to calibrate it. But, incredible sharpness and brightness. Extremely happy with this!!! Works well with my MacBook Pro. I did need to supply my own HDMI cable. It did not come with one. Instead it came with a DisplayPort cable that I couldn’t use.
