My pup has to take several pills a day for various reasons and the "peanut butter trick" was wearing thin :) I checked with the vet to see which pills could be crushed & which ones couldn't and bought this grinder. The biggest pill I have to get into him is a little smaller than a dime. All of the others are much smaller. The grinder worked very well, grinding them into a fine powder. The only issue I've encountered was when a pill got a little wet, or the grinder wasn't completely dry, and the grinder got gummed up. I've seen some reviews saying the grinder cannot grind big pills, which I can understand. Although I can't find it now, I thought the directions said it was adjustable.

I recently started jtube feedings and having to do all my medications through my tube requires us to crush the pills and then mix with water. This device does suck a great job at getting it to the super fine powder it needs to be before mixing with water because if the tube gets clogged i can't use it until a doctor fixes it so it's a big deal. The grinding handle moves smoothly do everything on my weaker days im able to use it, it might take me longer and I might have a few times I need to shake it a bit to move a big piece and keep going because I can't power through it on my sicker days but im still able to use it which is more than I can say for other grinders and crushers I've tried. The bottom part comes off with a half turn and doesn't need too much pressure (for those of you with hand pain and mobility issues I would rank this medium on a difficulty level) i especially like that it all jets collected into a clear container that is completely closed in so you can see it but don't have to worry about rising powder from the grinding. My only problem if had with it is the inside of the container has ridges so it's hard to pour the powder out of the bottom container so we just us it for creating our stury as well, add the water mix it up and draw it up from there for administering All together this is the best pill grinder I have ever used and I would highly recommend that for anyone using a feeding tube that the put meds through

Works great! Crushes pills of all kind down to a fine powder. If the pill has a coating, it will sometimes leave small flakes which usually dissolve in liquid or can be crushed with finger as well. Only one pill seems to be too large so I break it in half. Only complaint is that there is no smooth surface to pour the crushed pills out of so some of the powdery residue will get caught in the grooves as you pour it out every time. Cleaning this requires running it under really hot water while turning the grinder…but then letting it dry out COMPLETELY. I usually let it sit overnight which means I have to have an alternate crusher to use while it dries. If you use before it dries, your pills will be a clumpy mess. Overall it has been my favorite for crushing multiple pills at once.

I didn't rate "Easy To Swallow" because I didn't buy this for crushing pills. I purchased it for spices and other things. I have found that this grinder is fantastic and will reduce things like sea salt or peppercorns to a fine powder. It is extremely easy to use and clean. The only minor drawback is that after grinding and before clearing make sure to turn the upper grinding assembly upside down and lightly tap it on a plate or cutting board to get the last of whatever you might be grinding out of the grinding mechanisim. I found its a small amount but it reduces the need to wash after each use. I usually disasemble after three or four uses to clean thourghly. I would feel very comfortable recommending this product.

I was sad to see that this pill crusher is unavailable. We have had this pill crusher since 2021 and it is now 2025 and it has been amazing. The only complaint I have is the little knob on the handle that you hold onto broke off, but I’m still able to turn it in order to crush the pills please bring this item back .

I purchased this pill grinder for Mom to take her meds, because at 94, she has difficulty swallowing pills or capsules. The grinder is very easy to operate: Open the top, place pills and/or capsule contents (discard the gel caps) in top compartment (you may want to split larger pills first), snap/twist top back on, turn the handle several times until no more powder falls to the lower compartment, twist open the bottom compartment, and pour the powdered pills/capsule contents into your preferred puréed snack/food (we use puréed fruits/veggies, yogurt, or slightly melted ice cream). The grinder pulverizes everything that you place in it, making it very easy for the meds to be mixed with food, with no lumpy pieces. This pill grinder would be an excellent solution for anyone (children, adults, elderly) wo has difficulty swallowing pills or capsules. This is a great product that does exactly what it promises and it's easy to use and clean. Highly recommended!

I would love to give this grinder a 5 star rating but, it is the best I have found. My reason for not rating it highly is that after 3 or 4 months the rivet in the handle breaks and it is no longer usable. I have just bought my 3rd one hoping it will last longer. I have actually rigged up a screw with locking nuts to hold it in place after the rivet breaks which works great but not as good as the original. I have no idea why they have that bend and fold place in the handle which is where all the stress is but it is the first thing to go when the rest is perfectly good. I hope to see an improved handle system in the future, I don't want to have to start shopping for a new kind, I have tried many in the past and non grind up the pills as well.

This grinds pills very finely. My only real issue with it is that I feel like after grinding, you have to tap on the side of the metal part with the clear base still on to make sure all of the fine grinds have come out of the grinder portion. However, I really enjoy that I can grind my daughter's medication, put it in water, shake it for a few seconds, and immediately put it though her g-tube. With a pill crusher, I would have to wait at least 15 minutes for it to further dissolve and even then sometime the extension or g-tube would get clogged.
