KREGKMA3210 1/4 Inch Shelf-Pin Jig Drill Bit

Built five sets of closet shelves using a Kreg shelf pin jig and bought this bit as a "spare" (one of these bits comes with the jig). Make nice clean holes in oak veneer plywood.

Doing a bathroom remodel, & custom cabinet build. The local big box stores only sell the Kreg jig with a 5mm bit, wife & I wanted to match existing 1/4” pin holes. This bit worked perfectly, making nice crisp clean holes.

Bought this for the shelf pin jig and it works just as it is suppose to. Makes easy work of drilling multiple holes.Only thing, for my one time use, I did not get all clean holes. They are not bad, just a little rough some times. Maybe I am expecting too much. Drills nice, Just would have liked a little cleaner holes. Was drilling holes for a pantry, which was already painted, so not like I could sand them out. Might try a counter sink by hand real light, that might work.

Kreg Tools are great and work properly.What more can I sayJust get their 5mm shelf kit and buy this bit and you can do 5mm European and 1/4" American shelf pins.The shelf kit can be used for both the 5mm and 1/4" bits with no slop. The part of the 5mm bit that actually does the hole drilling is 5mm, but the support shank part of the bit is 1/4" so there is no wobble in the jig.The 1/4" bit is 1/4" for the complete shank.

Everything from Kreg is good value, well designed and easy to use. Go Kreg!!!!

VERY sharp, I put hardly any pressure on the drill and a smooth clean hole. I have so far found Kreg makes high quality tools. I have several Kreg tools and never a problem.

I found that that this drill bit was such a great bit in my Kreg Shelf Pin Jig kit that I ordered this extra one. I found the price to be decent and you can never have too many extra bits(I loose or misplace them all the time) I would highly recommend buying this as replacement bit or even an extra for you kit!

Worked perfectly for my shelving project! I recently purchased new kitchen cabinets but the manufacturer drilled quite a number of holes too shallow causing L-shaped shelf pins to not seat correctly. I set the stop collar on the bit to the pin length, then went at it. Cuts nicely!

Too bad it is so expensive. It fits the tool where no other bit does, and for that they can charge a lot more. It is made well though and provides a cleaner hole than my old one.
