only choice
This was our only choice because we had an odd sized shower. Didn't realize that tile ready meant you must tile it. Very expensive compared to other brands and sizes. Add the fact that you have the expense of tiling it also. The positive is that it is solid and angled to drain well. The lip on the side is very nice too.

Perfect shower pan
I love the shower pan so much I bought three different sizes, one for each bathroom.. when the tile is done I will submit pictures. So please easy installation perfect flow to drain. Especially like my new drains I bought two square and one rectangular that drains to one end. Very very nice.

Not as depicted
The pan went in nicely and I think it will be easy to tile. However, the "designer" grate shown on the website is perforated, which makes sense. The one I received is solid, so I suppose water is supposed to sneak down the sides of it. I'm NOT happy, but I can't seem to get anyone at Redi Base to pay attention.Update: Redi Base gave me a reduction on the price. I'm still not happy, because the perforated one goes all the way to the side of the drain, but the solid one does not. Now that it's finished, it looks awful. I spent a lot of money and hard work on the shower, so this is very disappointing.

Highly Recommend
Excellent product. Easy to install and tile. The pan at first appears very light and unstable. Don't worry, after install, it is VERY stable.Make sure to follow the instructions regarding setting into mortar and tiling.Enough epoxy was provided to tile the entire pan and curb - make sure to read the instructions for epoxy and use the correct sized trowel. The epoxy dries quickly, so only mix enough for the section you are tiling. I poured the liquid parts of the epoxy (come in plastic bags) into empty water bottles. This allowed me to mix the epoxy in smaller amounts and there was no spillage. We broke a tile drill bit (when installing the shower door) when it hit the epoxy; it dries very hard and provides much of the stability. So, this is an important part.

Expensive but worth it
Not super easy to install but doable if you take your time and follow the instructions. It is a really good pan as far as water proofing. Take the most care when leveling the base in mortar for proper drainage. When installing tile it is easier to take the 2 part epoxy and put that on all of the pan floor and walls with a 1/32" trowel and let it setup. Then install the tile with recommended thinset and appropriate size trowel. You can call tile-redi to confirm that this is an acceptable installation method. It worked very well for me.

i am not happy when i saw the quality of product-- i have used some of their niches & they were exactly what i saw on online- heavy duty pvc plastic. this item shows the same, expected heavy duty pvc pan & what showed up is a lightweight molded foam type product like "fypon" material. not even the same color-- for what we pay for this product, i am very dissatisfied !!! i am a contractor of 40 yrs. experience & i hope this holds up on the job !!!

Haven't finished tiling over it yet but it's in place and I am very pleased with the quality and design which is to say excellent and well-thought-out respectively. Drain accepts a standard PVC pipe, 2" as I recall. Looking forward to enjoying the finished product.
