Darrel Tank's 5-Pencil Method — Intro to Drawing Eyes

Darrel Tank's 5-Pencil Method is out standing. However, before you attempt to do the portrait of the baby visit his Web site to get some free instruction on how to handle the pencils, erasers, etc.

Information in this video is probably very helpful, but I have not been able to stay awake through it. Artists drawings are beautiful, but I just want to put down the ruler (left brain) and draw (right brain). This method does not work at all for me, but I am sure would be beneficial to many and certainly works for some.

If your an absolute beginner or a seasoned artist there is a lot to learn. From the "lay out" and ever step of the way Master Illustrator Darrel Tank explains what he is doing and why. This jewel of a DVD set is a treasure. There 3 DVD'S, First is the "lay out" second is the "shading" (that is where the Magic happens) & last is the finishing touches to the signature. It is not a quick sketch lesson it is an in depth course. Each DVD runs over 2 hours or so(give or take). So you get a lot of teaching for what you pay. It is real good for someone who loved to draw when they were a kid but never could draw people(like me). I treasure this DVD set and if you want to see something "come to life" from blank page to signed framed art... This is for you!!!
