Yamaha YAS-207BL Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer Bluetooth & DTS Virtual:X Black

This is an excellent system from Yahama and a great deal for the price. Easy to install out of the box, I'm simply blown away by the sound quality and the surround sound you get while watching movies and shows on Netflix, Amazon video or any of the HD channels on Tata Sky. The wireless subwoofer produces great base and the biggest advantage is that you can place it anywhere in the room as it is wireless and connects automatically when the sound bar is powered on.Excellent seller and answered any questions I had, great communication and quick delivery. I highly recommend this seller.

I have used this sound bar about one week.And I have to say this is the best sound bars you can come across. The sound separation and the sound shift is equally good. And you can get thumping bass when needed. Both music and movies sounded good. DTS virtual X sound is bit strange, the sound quality is varied from content to content, Some sounded good and some doesn't. But the traditional surround mode is very good for movies. And stereo mode is good for music. Only concern is the longevity of the product because you are paying premium for that. it's overall very good sound bar.

I wanted to buy a sound bar since the output from my expensive LG oled was not great. I short listed Bose Soundtouch 300 and Yamaha YAS 107. After going through live demos in store I decided to save money and finalised on Yamaha YAS 107. However before buying that I came across some good reviews online and I decided to buy Yamaha YAS 207 because it has external subwoofer and how good that decision was. I am completely blown away by this. The sound output from it is awesome be it music, action movies which I like to watch. Set up was very easy and I could do it myself. One small problem I have is the dialogues and background music. Though the dialogues are clearer than TV's output I have to keep on changing volume levels as for dialogues the level has to be higher to hear them and then it's too loud when background music plays. Other than this there is nothing to complain about. I am very happy with it and have not gone back to TV's speakers. The delivery by Amazon was extremely good. I would like to reiterate what another reviewer has said about external subwoofer. You have to feel them to know how much better they are from internal subwoofers.

The set up is a breeze. Excellent to watch an action movie. The thumping bass from the sub woofer just awesome. Completes the need of a home theatre without the hassle of setting up a 5.1 or 7.1 home theatre.Sound effects delivery is fabulous. If in doubt of buying this I would say totally go for it it's a good buy.

Overall performance is average. Stereo and Dolby Pro Logic mode is average. DTS Virtual:X mode is working good, but it is extremely harsh. Had it provided any way to tame the harshness in this mode, this could have been a good sound bar. Subwoofer provides pretty good bass in DTS Virtual:X mode. Only harshness of this sound bar is its biggest drawback which makes it an average product.

This is the best product you can have under this price range. I recommend this soundbar to everyone who watch movies/Netflix etc. Don't buy it for listening music because the surround sound doesn't go well with listening music. This is the theatre experience in budget.

While I received it, the package was damaged and inner thermocol was in broken condition. Also it was a used product, since the insulation provided to it's remote's battery was missing. I was not bothered about these issues.I installed the unit and used for two days. It was working very well and the sound was also good in all aspects. But from the third day of installation, it's Subwoofer was not working and started blinking a red led light on it's rear side. while connecting the Subwoofer to AC supply, the total unit started mis functioning and sometimes while switching on TV, the ARC function was not working and I have to manually switch on the main unit of Yamaha YAS 207. It was totally a wastage of my time and I don't know whether the product was defective at the time of delivery or is it like Yamaha Audio products in India are less reliable? And while I tried to contact Yamaha Audio Support, it's available in Mon-Fri, day time only.While a customer spending nearly 27K for an audio system, the brand also should be a responsible one. Because of my old Sony Speaker System's low reliability only I have tried for a new one from Yamaha. But it gave me more worst experience than the old one. I don't think this is a reliable speaker system and they are not having a good customer support. If Yamaha's Customer Support was good enough, there was no need to return this Yamaha YAS 207 to the Amazon seller.

I used this product for 10 days. Quality of sound is superb , bass is awesome with sound clarity. But some times at high bass , normal voice becomes unclear for persons with voice with low frequency routedc to woofer, that is bit annoying .Yamaha can improve the performance on this. Service is not good ,as i have given it for repair , its taking more than 15 days. Before buying the product , service centers should be checked properly .
