Simply gripping.
Honestly, I've put off watching this film for a year or two despite my love for zombies, purely because it was in another language and I wasn't confident that it would be engaging for me as a result.Bear in mind that I do not understand Korean, and as such cannot vouch for how lines themselves are delivered when I speak of the acting in the film; I can only speak to the emotion in those lines, as well as the expressions and body language used when they are spoken.I'm happy to say that I was utterly wrong about my initial caution for the film, and that Train to Busan features some damn good acting from most of the cast (I was particularly impressed by the train crew themselves), an atmosphere that will keep you worrying for the survival of the characters, and zombies which can be entirely unsettling. Specifically, single-minded drive is what I expect from zombies and I was happy to see it present here where they would pursue without any care for personal injury or obstacles in their way.(SPOILER WARNING)I cannot understate that despite having to read subtitles to understand precisely what was happening, I was engaged with the characters and their struggle to keep themselves and their loved ones alive. And when some of them inevitably died, the film is able to make you feel for their loss and, ocassionally, their sacrifice.TTB also does that thing which most zombie flicks do: showing a news channel featuring instances of "spontaneous rioting" across whatever country the film is set in. Fortunately it puts more effort into making it a natural part of the show rather than just running the opening credits over them, but it is still noticeable for the cliche that it is. Another trope if uses is that of the fly-over of a city at war, with explostions and smoke coming from across a large, metropolitan area. Fortunately, it pulls this off at a higher quality, as it tends to with almost every shot. The only exceptions to this would be one or two CGI scenes towards the end of the film, but those are thankfully outliers. There will be other times where the CGI in the film is particularly noticeable, but again those thankfully did not take away from the rest of the drama. The main complaint I have about the film is that the zombies are sometimes inconsistent, or very 'convenient' in the timing of their appearence. For example, at times they are exceptionally precise in spotting and biting down on any limbs or hands that they can reach. In one case where the zombie had its head poking through the bottom of an ajar door, it literally spun around with its head surging upwards to bite directly on the hand of a survivor who was trying to push the train door closed. In other cases, this pinpoint-accuracy and frankly astonishing reflexes were not present even when a small horde of zombie is being pushed back by a team of survivors. Furthermore, near the end of the film, there is a scene where zombies surge from almost every direction, whereas they had only been shown and explained to have originated from on direction at most. Admittedly this is a minor issue, and the fact that it is one of the only negatives to the film speaks volumes for its quality.(END OF SPOILER WARNING)All in all, Train to Busan is a fantastic zombie film, with reasonable character development and enough tension to keep any fan of the genre entertained. I fully recommend it.

Zombie genre perfection
Yet, as much as I like this movie, there is an strange lack of connection with the rest of the world. Don't they have tourist and people from other parts of the world at all that could have also appeared in the movie as well? That would have making it more real and give some potential language or culture mishaps that could have add realism to it. Also their second one was not that good.

Very Tense!
Train To Busan is a 2016 South Korean horror film. The flick was directed by Yeon Sang-Ho, produced by Lee Dong-ha and stars Gong Yoo, Ma Dong-Seok, Jung Yu-mi and many more. The story of the film is about a father and daughter, their relationship is on the rocks. To make up for lost time, the father takes the girl to see her mother for her birthday. Not long after they're on board, a suspiciously ill individual boards the train, dies and comes back as a rabid beast. It doesn't take long for all hell to break loose. For a two hour zombie movie, I thought this film was extremely well paced and very well written. Skimming over the story might make it sound like just another horror film, kind of Snakes On A Plane sort of thing. But there's been more creativity put into Train To Busan. The characters are all very interesting, we grow to sympathise or hate them and never once does the film drag. The wife and I got invested in the lead and support characters very quickly. The relationship between father and daughter was very good and very emotional. The action scenes are all extremely tense and very well thought out. The zombies/infected are pretty typical modern day zombies. They snarl, claw, run and bite like Justin Beiber fans. The make up effects and the way they're shot, it just looks great and does a great job of keeping you on your feet. The bluray for the film is absolutely stunning. I was genuinely surprised at how well the film has come out on high definition. The train sequences all look fantastic and even the outdoor sequences all look incredible. The image is crystal clear, extremely sharp and has plenty of colour. You'll see every scratch, spot of blood and bite mark the film has to offer. It's very well done. I also enjoyed the 5.1 surround sound. I felt that it had the right amount of separation and did a great job of scaring the crap out of us at the right times.I acquired this film for a fiver, it was on sale. It's safe to say that I would have been satisfied if I had purchased this full price. The film is intense, very fast and easy to watch. I loved every second of it, so did the old ball and chain. I highly recommend this one for your horror collection.

KONG YOO
I had heard a lot about this film. I purchased from Prime. One of my favourite Korean actors KONG YOO is leading character. I really enjoyed this film. It had love, comradeship, friendship and survival mode. If you do not mind reading sub titles, watch this.
